What to do when your companion goes missing.

Not a pleasant subject to think about, nor are the others in this link. But, it does remind us of some of the obvious things things to do when we are panicked.

And they enlighten us to other dangers as well.

Probably a good idea to talk about what you can do before or to prevent your dog from going missing.

Some thoughts:

If you have a fenced yard - regularly patrol and check for holes or potential breaches.

Have an up-to-date clear photo of your pet.

Tags, microchips, collars with the phone number on it.

Keep shelter numbers, vet numbers, etc. in your cell phone.
