There are a couple of different methods for posting pictures and it really doesn't matter which you prefer. I will post instructions here for both of the methods and you can choose which you prefer.
Method 1
This is the method I choose as you can insert the full size image into your post without anyone having to "click" on the image to see it in better detail. The downside to this method is that anyone viewing the forums as a guest will also be able to see your pictures. If your picture privacy is of great importance to you, you may want to skip to method 2.
Upload photos from your camera or computer to a photo hosting website. (I use photobucket, and therefore will base my instructions on their layout.) Once your photo is uploaded to your hosting site select the "tag" underneath your photo that says "IMG Code" and copy all of the text in that box. Paste all of that text into your post. It will look something like this in your text http:-----. When you click post it will actually show the picture as part of your post.
If all you see when you post is the link to your picture, you are missing the "IMG" tags. If you want the picture to show, go to edit your post. You can either manually insert those tags yourself put before each link and after each link, or the easy way is to click on the box that looks like a picture of mountains with a sun in your text area (if you hold your mouse over it, it will say "insert image"), and put the link to your picture in the box that comes up and click "OK". It will insert the "IMG" tags for you.
If your photos are on Flickr -then it's a little different.
Find your photo on Flickr. Choose to "view all sizes" under the "Actions" tab.
It will show you a large (if you uploaded a large size) size, if you want that one right click and copy the image URL. Otherwise choose another size and do the same. Then, at the C2BC message box, click on the icon that looks like the mountain w/yellow sky (image icon) and paste your copied URL into the box that comes up (don't bother with the blue highlighted http stuff, it will disappear if you just paste over it). Click ok.
Method 2
When you are posting a new thread (or reply) underneath the area where you type it says "additional options". In that section, find "Attach Files". Click on the "manage attachments" box and find and upload your photo directly from your computer to your post. The down side is if your photo is large you will have to manually resize it through a photo editing program to fit into the maximum dimensions allowed. You can see the maximums allowed for each type of photo file when you open the "manage attachments" box. If you need help resizing a photo, just send one of the admins or moderators a PM and we will try to help.
If you have any questions still please feel free to ask here and I will respond as soon as I can. Thank you!
