View Full Version : Mac is a Spayed Club Dog Walk Winner!!

Mac had possibly the best afternoon of his whole little life today! In case you don't remember, today was the annual Dog Walk for the Spayed Club, a local organization which helps offset the cost of spaying and neutering local pets. Thanks in part o our own Jane Austen, Mac raised a total of $90 and was awarded with a bandana (well, everyone got one of those...but his was cool and tye-dyed with his name on it!) and a t-shirt. And that was just the beginning! He made all sorts of doggie friends - including two Cardis named Benny and Billie! - and got more attention from new human friends than anyone knew what to do with. A number of local vendors had tents and booths set up, and although we had thought about it beforehand, one convinced us to enter Mac in the "Funny Match" dog show to be held at the end of the day. So we grabbed a number and decided to show Mac in the "Most Dashing" category (for any handsome male dogs).

Mac wound up winning second place!! (I'm pretty convinced that I heard the judges talking abut giving him first...but he hung out with one of the judges for most of the afternoon, and then a BEAUTIFUL Golden Retriever stepped into the ring... so it was only fair that he didn't get first place. We were happy with his winnings anyway!) We wound up taking home many a spoil.

One of the Spayed Club volunteers wanted to take a family photo of us with Mac for the Spayed Club's website...so we had him take an extra for us!

First off congratulations to Mac for being such a social minded young man to participate and raise $90!!! Good job!!

+REDAWARD+ And in my eyes Mac beats a Golden - no matter how beautiful it was - he is so dashing with his black and white tux!! Looks like he raked in the swag!!!

So proud to have helped sponser Mac in his efforts to raise money for the Spayed Club Dog Walk. Mac is getting so big! Another thing about Mac is the contrast of his black and white coat. I wonder if we have another member here who has a black and white Cardigan? I mean one so solidly colored.

We do! Merrie has her big boy Chester :) And Susan has Lulu! And...I feel like I'm still leaving one Cardi out...

PS - Mac really looks like his daddy in that 1st picture! That is so cute!!

Oh Heather the photos really show our puppies have grown up! I love the bandana photo and his nose to the ground beginning the heel is quite understandable -with all those new smells! What a trooper and shows his good personality to make it through the day staying sweet. I don't know how you are going to beat all his goodies come Christmas!!!!
