I think Checkers needs work on learning how to relax still... what do you guys think? (Yes, that is me he is sleeping on.)

Doesn't look like he has a care in the world - probably dreaming about food:)

I don't think you can get much more relaxed than that. Zip will get up in my lap all the time. He likes to be rocked like a baby.

Checkers says you're wasting space on that recliner and should just give it all to him ;)

Cheryl,

whats a little muscle cramp as long as the pupper is comfy  right LOL

sometimes when Chloe is laying on me and I get stiff and shift around I actually feel guilty that I disputed her...

I know what you mean T-Gal. Jackie is not a snuggler, so when she does want to sit on my lap . . . I will let her stay there for as long as I can possibly stand it, even if my legs are asleep. :)

I think Checkers and I do this at least once a day, he loves his momma cuddle time. Last night though it was late, and he put the whole lower half of my body to sleep! Quite fun trying to stand up after that hehe.

Now that's what I call hog heaven...falling asleep in Mom's lap all spread eagle. It's such a shame he's not the cuddly type, Cheryl. I'm surprised he doesn't have his mouth open so just incase you want to drop a cookie in there....:D

Cheryl - Is Checkers a cuddler by nature?

I know that guilty feeling - you don't want to disturb them because they are sleeping so soundly! Sometimes, I will be lying on the couch and Rhys will get up on top of me and fall asleep. Being that he weighs 30 pounds, this is not the most comfortable thing for me...but I love it when he gets in the "cuddling mood" - it's so rare!

Emma is not a cuddlier... she likes being close by, behind my chair, between the chair and the footstool, etc. so when she is in the rare mood to be on my lap or beside me I try and keep her there as long as she wants :)

Chloe on the other hand  feels if I am horizontal then she should be on me or at the very least beside me hogging the larger portion of the sofa or bed! But I love it :D

OH this is TORTURE. The characteristic we hope for is a cuddler. Take deep breathes I say, only 8 1/2 more weeks. Our last dog sounds like Emma which hey if they don't cuddle at least they are still glued to our presence.

Checkers is actually kinda half and half. He has very set times during the day when we have set aside "cuddle time"... and he demands his time then. But the rest of the day he is content to sleep on the couch, or whatever... he's not "clingy" where he has to be with me constantly. The hard part is when he still wants to cuddle in that same position but and I have a big ole preggo belly! That makes things much more interesting LOL!

Gator is not much of a cuddler any of the time... he will seek out attention, but just wants to play or get his ears scratched most of the time... not really cuddle. Every once in a while he will lay on the foot of the extended comforter in the evening and that's about as close as he gets to actual cuddles.
