When I give Link a rawhide he chews it for a little while and then hides it for later. Today he spent about 10 minutes arranging and rearranging a rug on top of one in a corner under my desk. At first I thought he lost it under there so I took it out for him. He promptly put it back and re-did all the rug camouflage. He couldn't quite get one end of it covered because the rug wouldn't reach so I have him a fabric toy scrap and he put that on the bare spot. Every once in a while he goes back to see if it's still there.

My boys hide socks and the kids toys. the rawhides I can only find for about 20 minutes then poof they are gone. I never see them again. I know they arent eating them but where do they go? ooooooooooooooooooooo creepy!

Jackie doesn't hide stuff - but she does "lose" a lot of things under the couch! :TWITCHY:

Yep, same here. Trevor likes to lie next to the couch or chair with his Nylabone, then push it underneath. After which he lies there with his nose stuck under the furniture, "chirping" :CHATTERBOX: until one of us gets down and fishes it out for him!

Yep - that sounds familiar! She also tries to "dig" it out while lying on her side!:ER:

Abby loves to push rawhides, nylabones etc under lounge chairs, low beds - unfortunately she, like Jackie, uses the 'side on digging method'. I now have two ensemble bed bases with long gaping tears in the fabric. The lounge suite. covered with a much stronger tapestry material, so far, although looking rather tatty, has withstood the onslaught of the corgi claws.

The Chirping is Darci's way of telling us the couch stole her toy. Egan sits at our feet and full on barks until we get his toy from the big bad couch...

Spoiled rotten.....

Neither of mine really "hide" anything, but when I give Andy special treats - she runs off into my bedroom and eats it behind the rocking chair. :SPINNY:

Toby will hide FatMax's cat toys every chance he gets. He is also famous for going outside and playing ball, only to hide his tennis balls under the deck when he is done. There must be about ten under there now. The big bad couch will eat his rawhide and he does the whine and dig move until I get down to get it out. Silly boy.

Yes the Bad Couch has taken a few toys that must be rescued for Chloe. She also tries the side dig. I have found a few treats she has tried to bury in the house :TWITCHY:

Emma just carries things toys that she loves the best to the corner behind my chair - she made it a Chloe-free zone!

Rupert only plays the hiding game with rawhides. I will give him one and he'll jump up on the sofa and push it between the cushions, jump off and then give me soft "buffs" to tell me to throw it for him. He has to do this at least three times before he'll settle in and chew it. His record for eating an 8 inch knotted rawhide is 7 minutes!!

Jemma steals my sock and "hides" them all over my apartment.

Jackie has recently discovered the joy of sock stealing also. But she doesn't hide them, she just tosses them around . . . and when she gets tired (or if I stop playing with her) she lays down and puts her head on them, giving me the sad eyes. My poor neglected corgi.:CUTE:

This is how Andy is with socks (and underthings). She doesn't hide the fact that she has them - she relishes it!

Yesterday she ran out into the living room with...my wallet! Somehow, my bag had gotten knocked over and some stuff spilled on the floor.

Speaking of hiding things...

I have been trying to rid myself of old/unneeded things in the last few days so I have some bags of trash sitting around (nothing the dogs will bother - I thought).
Anyway, I heard a noise and went into my bedroom and found Andy hiding and chewing the label off of a bottle of curry powder. Thank goodness it was a glass bottle with a very tight lid! I guess spice jars are interesting to the dogs after all. :TWITCHY:

ETA: Just wanted to add that it was the only edible thing in the bag! Everything else was papers and such.
