Montrose & I have been playing this egg game together since she was a wee pup. In her younger days she would jump about and really boot that egg around. Gary has always said she'd make a good goalie for the Canucks.

Some days she still sits and shoots it across the smooth kitchen floor, but that makes more work for me chasing it, so this morning we just played a close in relaxing game on carpet.

Her old egg lasted her more than 12 years, I replaced it recently when there was finally a crack in it. Anyone know what they put in those musician's shaker eggs?

Here is a short clip of my girl and her egg:

I've never met a (female) corgi what wasn't a sweet chatter box!

But my Dyl Bob is more the strong silent type, I'd love to get a clip of him when he is doing his "call to the pack", he sounds just like a coyote!

Awww... Monty is precious! What a sweetie pie.. and a cute game too... looks like fun!

MrsGrace-Gator isn't as big of a talker (vocal range wise...), but Checkers has a whole repretoire of sounds... including my favorite which comes out sounding like a trill. Too cute. He doesn't "woo woo" exactly like my previous big dog did though... but has plenty of other sounds that are similar and just as adorable.

That's such a cute clip! Who knew eggs could be so much fun?! Monty really looks like she's enjoying herself.

Dudley isn't much of a talker. He "boofs" when he thinks I'm taking too long to let him out or get his food, and he will make a Chewbacca noise when he gets up in the morning.

Maya, on the other hand, talks up a storm. She makes a whiney noise, a grunting pig noise, a growling noise, a yippy bark (that drives me crazy) and a normal bark. The pig noise is by far my favorite, especially since she will put her mouth right up to your ear to do it.

Loved the video of Miss Montrose and her egg - and her noises while playing.

Cody loves his ball and when I roll it to him, he will push them back at me with his nose (often from a distance of 2 or 3 feet)- he looks like he is on a putting green ready to take aim - and each roll back to me is sent off with a "bark"

Well of course, the bark makes it go faster!

that is such a sweet video... Monty is such a beauty :BIGGRIN" I love her play growl !

Chloe makes the same play growly noise... she only uses it on Leah when they are playing... She is very vocal and has a pretty big vocabulary...

Emma is quiet... little woof under her breath if I don't notice she wants outside... soprano bark at the wildlife in the yard...

I loved this video clip! What is the egg made out of? Is it plastic? wood? curious..she looks like she is having so much fun! I think the vocalizations are soooo cute. Dillon does a lot of different growls, the chewbacca noises, yodels, trills, barks , airy wuff barks - the under the breath low bark) and then he "talks " which is a series of chewbacca noises and something that souds like a low Meow and occasinally MA Ma.. Gus yodels, trills , growls and barks, but his growls are his "talking" they vary quiet a bit. This was a great clip of montrose! very cute

The egg is made of hard plastic, and that's why it will shoot a good distance on smooth flooring when she hits it with her paw, she can't get her nails into it. What is in it I don't know, but it sounds like hard dry rice when you shake it.

What a cute video Barbara! I never get sick of watching your dynamic duo - the camera loves them!

Jackie makes Chewbacca noises all the time - it's her most common noise. She also "boofs" - she does this to let me know there is something suspicious in the area (presumably so I can check it out and let her know if it is safe). And she has been known to backtalk, which has the tone of complaining, and is done when I am being "mean" and not letting her do whatever it is that she wants to do (like jump on passersby). She very rarely does an all-out bark (THANK GOD) - most often heard at the dog park when she is rounding up the other dogs.

Any music store sells them, but I'd be care full not to leave a dog alone with it. They can brake, and we don't know what's in them. Hence my chattering at Monty to "no bite'.:CHATTERBOX:

Great video of Miss M. She is so precious!
Zia "talks" constantly. My husband calls her Bob because she's a "Barker." Ok, he's an idiot! He does say that she's a normal female...talking all the time!

Cute video

Sooty is a talker- especially when he hasn't seen for a few hours and especially first thing in the morning. Once he said something that sounded like 'about time too' when I was late getting up.
Cindy doesn't talk much , just barks when she is excited and especially when food is involved

Miss Montrose is such a pretty girl. I watched a couple more videos of here trying to get around on the floor. I guess I missed it on the gocorgi forum at some point but, does she have arthritis, Barbara? The cart must be a real God-send for her.

WHEN - because they must! - Jackie and Rhys get together they can "chewbacca" talk to each other. He is always making noises like that. He sounds like a similar noisemaker to Jackie, except that Rhys DOES bark - he barks anytime someone is near our breezeway. I'm trying to break him of that; though he does not bark incessantly. Thank goodness. :BIGGRIN"

I finally was able to see Monty and her egg - she seems to really love your little game with her. I love when she looks at the camera with a smile that says "look I'm playing with Mom!".

Jemma must be the quietest Pem around - she hardly ever makes a sound. Though every now and then she'll try and get Rupe going with a loud sharp bark with a trill at the end of it - scares the heck out of us as we forget that she can make noise! Rupert always has something to say - Chewbacca noises, boofs, growls - he can do it all!

No she has DM. Degenerative Myelopathy. The short description is that the signals from the brain to the nerves in her (now both) back legs miss fire. So she can't stand anymore. But, the most important thng is that there in no pain for her. Other than that, she is healthy as a horse.

I'll be posting some information links in the health forum later. It is hereditary & I hope anyone reading here on C2bC will never need to know about this disease for their own dog.

Well . . . now that you are coming to the East Coast . . . getting them together would be much easier!!! Wouldn't it be funny if they didn't like each other, after their "secret" dogster love affair? Just goes to show you what a bunch of nuts we dog owners are! +JIGGY+
