Colbys sister is here finally!! We are still working on a name, thinking of Cammie but not sure its "strong" enugh as she seems like shes gonna be a spit-fire who can hold her own!!

We went to Southern VA this weekend, long car ride to meet her breeder and pick her up!!

They are getting along pretty well...Colby is just a bit rough so we have to keep a close eye....

I am sure they will be best buddies in no time....once she gets a little bigger we wont worry as much....any suggestions on thid part would be great!!

And she does the flying squirrel!!! Colby never really did and i think its so cute!

If Cammie is short for "Camellia", they are a VERY strong flower. Beautiful as well. I think the name is fitting!

Congrats! She is sooooo fluffy and cute! a little bear! You are giving me puppy fever - now quick post something about potty accidents, waking up middle of the night to let her out or monster chewing as a cure for my puppy fever or i will end up with a third corgi!!!

I think the name cammie is a good name and I cannot wait to see her grow and for her colors to mature so i can see what she will look like ( I am not great when it comes to figuring out what a typically coated corgi puppy will look like with an adult coat, but i am clueless with the fluffies...)

Fron day 1, Tucker and Lulu played rough. When she was very little, I watched them closely. It was a very fine line trying to figure when to step in. Everyone's advice was to let them work things out on their own.

To this day they still play very rough. But they get along great. I may have over compensated for Lulu because she has learned to squeal before Tuck even touches her to get my attention! Drama Queen!

Thanks everyone for the good wishes...so far so good...yes there have been a few accidents in the house...but just pee...she was fine in the crate today...we slept most of the night....colby's getting better about the rough-housing....hes been sharing all the toys....he been playing keep away from cammie!! hes even been sharing his bones, as in he lets her put her mouth right on it with him...i was shocked by that to be honest...he lets her sit with me with him too...i was a little worried about jealousy buthe seems to be adjusting just fine....tomorrow we will see our vet for the first time....that should be fun...one of her ears is not quite standing up all by itself just yet....when do you consider taping?? we dont want it to flop...the breeder also suggested calcium to help with that??...she a bit of a chow hound too....time to go play....i'll post more tomorrow....bye everyone....puppy kisses....

I tape at about 12 weeks. And try vitamin C for the ears. I think that might be in the archives somewhere.

She is a beautiful congratulations. Taffy's ears were both up when we brought her home but one flopped down so I put a little scotch tape around it and gave her plain yogurt for a couple of days and back up it came. :BIGGRIN"

We had to tape Mac's big honkin' ears twice to get to get them to stay. Both these sites have some good tips:

We followed the method on the second site since it was a little easier to do and was also the method Robyn (Mac's breeder/Debbie Glencorgi's sister) sent us in the mail. I would recommend masking tape over duct tape (a little less heavy) if you have to do it. While Mac had the tape on, we'd give him a little yogurt with breakfast to give a calcium boost; we didn't give any vitamin C. It took two tries, but it worked.

Thanks for the tips on the ear again...we are going to have to do something for it...although it does look super cute, we want it up eventually...currently dealing with a case of coccicidia that is our major concern at the moment....kinda bummed (no pun intended) and hope she is feeling better soon...shes off to the vet again today to be looked at for that and perhaps get her 1st lyme shot....colby is being treated for the coccidia too just in case...gotta run...gonna be late for school, and yes i am aware that there is no such word as gonna but must i always be in teacher mode??
