No, Danny has mastered LLW for more than 2 minutes yet.:TWITCHY:

But, I got a phone call from the training facility that Danny took his Puppy K with. He has been cleared from the waiting list and we are enrolled to start Beginer's Ob classes at the end of the month! +CHEER+

So next week is our last Puppy Beginer's Agility class, one week to rest. (I mean continue working on LLW!) And then the following we week start the 6 week class.

It's the facility that's almost and hrs drive, but the classes closer to home aren't up and running for us yet. (paws crossed for no snow) And a bonus is the Danny and I will have the same instructor that taught us in his PK class.

And in a few days we'll find out if Dylan is cleared from the wait list at that same facility to start his first ever Rally class!+CHEER+Dylan and I have not been 'working competitively' since he had his ACL surgery in May of '06,

Things are moving right along! Excellent that you can have one week "off" between classes and then get right back into it. we rarely had more than a week off between different classes with Dillon in the early days.. I think it keeps their mind on the task of continuing to learn... that LLW takes time for them to master... ummm frankly i am still working on that one with Dillon... and he is 2 1/2yrs old. he CAN walk on a loose leash but on daily walks, he figures , why bother... the only time i can convince him to walk nice in a heel or loose leash is if i have food on me, and then he is a perfect gentleman... but if i go too long without giving him the cookie he shuts down and starts pulling ahead or dropping behind and i am either being dragged along, or dragging him along. Gus on the other hand is a perfect gentleman, I am so confident in his abilities, that i dont always put him on a leash when we walk through the neighborhood ( i always carry one on me , just in case) but he just sticks close to me anyway and always comes when he is called... Dillon, umm, not so much! :TWITCHY:

I hope that your Dylan can get into that Rally class... I think you two will have fun with that, i really like rally and am now waiting yet again to try and get into another rally class- maybe another month, so i am going to buy the sign stands, laminated signs and i have cones already and i am going to buy the rally course book so i can set up courses in my basement...

What excellent newsl, Barbara! Danny and Aine will be starting beginners obedience about the same time! We're taking Maeve also, 1 dog per dog mom. It is with the trainer we've been waiting for. The first class is Monday, 3 days after her surgery, but it is people only, so it works. We can compare notes again!

We had a big change in plans last night.

The (new to us) Trainer that now lives here in town with us is starting another Rally Class this coming Monday night at 8pm and Dylan is now enrolled in it!

And we are canceling the class that is an hours drive that Danny was going to start at the end of the month as Dylan's trainer has a Foundation Class suitable for Danny starting this Monday night at 7pm.

So both boys will be going to the same trainer, at the same facility, on the same night!

It's only about a 30 minute drive and the trainer will be moving the classes to a facility that is only 10 min from our house in March!

I sure hope that it all pans out. After such a long dry spell I'm now going to be working both of my boys at the same time!+CHEER+ I'm sooo excited!

Yep, Chilliwack is not exactly the big time so I'm thrilled that we will be staying close to home. Also it means that Miss M can rest without having to be taken out with us at night, and that's a good thing too.

Terrific! Hope that you will start a thread for your classes too!

I've never met this trainer so guess I am taking a chance, but I'm hopeful.

One negative about the training that I'm going to cancel, the trainer is great! but she is also a judge in Rally & Ob and in a small community, that means missed trials for the boys and I as we obviously couldn't enter in her rings under CKC rules.

I'll be anxious to hear about your rally obedience, I don't have much familiarity with it. It sounds like fun, but demanding!

This will be a first for me too. I've only ever seen one trial, and done some reading on it. I'm counting on Dylan to carry me through!

Off to our classes in a hour! Vibes requests please that Danny doesn't pull my arm out of my socket in the LLW segment of the class. And that Dylan gets along will all the new dogs he is going to meet.
