Well, Wicca and I finally managed to pull our crap together and get our starters standard title!! We only needed one more Q (clean run) and have been oh so close the last few trials. Wicca has been stuck in starters standard (which is a course with all the equipment- usually consisting of 15 obstacles.) We have been the reigning champions of the 5 fault club- mainly knocked bars.
Wicca was SUCH a good girl all weekend and we had some amazing runs.
She is in masters and advanced level everything else and is kicking some border collie butt! In our advanced standard on sunday we were 2 seconds behind the fastest dog - a malinois X- and that was with a missed entry to the weaves!

I am very happy with how Wicca ran this weekend- she is finally starting to grow up a bit it seems!!!

There was a photographer there this weekend. Here are some links to Wicca pictures...some of them are pretty cool!!! You can all see the crazed agility addict that she is!!!

Great Job WICCA!!!!! yipeeeee! I love the photos, she looks like she is having fun and wow what a course! Dillon only tried agility once as a youngster ( no jumps or weave poles ) just basic stuff, and he seemed to like it ,but getting him to go through the tunnels once and not twice or three times was quite the challenege LOL!!!

I tried agility with both Montrose and DYlan when they were younger but we never did it competatively. Your pics show just what a great time it is!

Amanda:

Congratulations to you and Wicca!!!!

Look at the wonderful weave and the perfect down contact on the A frame! Woohoo! She's a rock star!

I saw so many dogs miss the bottom contacts this weekend on A frames, dog walks and teeter. Wicca looks perfect!

Congrats and good luck on the final "Q".

Great job Amanda and Wicca! We are so proud of both of you. You are truly an inspiration to those of us that aspire to do agility competitively.

I think next weekend Tucker and I will face the separation of "the men from the boys" as they say. He has 4 runs at a trial next Saturday.

One of the things he needs to complete is a "game" where for the last 3 obstacles, I have to be at least five feet away from him and send him to the obstacles. We flub this everytime in class. We have completed everything else successfully but this one may be our sticking point.

I have to practice with him over the weekend....

You know with all the different training that Dylan has done, he has always been hard to 'send out' away from me. Us being in the ring with the sheep really brought that home.

I'd like to think that he just loves his Momma so much he can't bare to leave my side, but I think that corgis being natural drovers may be what is keeping him by me.

Susan, do you think that might be part of it with you and Tucker in distance work?

He is a Momma's boy.

Certainly didn't stop him from running away from me off course Saturday at the trial to go and visit the photographer.

Maybe I need to put the photographer near where I want him to go!

Miss Montrose is a photo ham too! Maybe because of all the treats she used to be bribbed with?

Susan, try wearing a camera around your neck, or find out that delicious things the photographer carries in his pockets.
