Is anyone familiar with this book? Do you think it's worthwhile?
I'm a it of a training material junkie and am thinking of ordering it.

sorry i cant be of any help here....but enjoy the book if you buy it,...
I don't know a thing about obedience trials, but the book does sound interesting. I'm all for training dogs for all kinds of distractions, it's just common sense. If you do get it, let us know how you like it.

A friend of mine has that book and she said it was good- not quite what she thought it was going to be- but still a good book to have around. I haven't read it, but I browsed it as it has a lot of info about training Go Outs- which is something Wicca and I are working on.
I have " Success is in the Proofing" and I LOVE it. I also have Marie Sawfords "Ring Ready" Both are really great books.

OK, I've been reading this thread but I have a question. What is proofing? I hate not knowing what something means! BTW, if you're looking for distractions, I know where a certain skateboarder hangs out!!!

Kassie, here is an explanation, and a story of the importance of "Proof Training". I think it's well worth the read.

Thank you, Barbara. That was a good article. I was very lucky last weekend that Maeve froze. I don't know what would have happened if it had been Aine. I don't like to think about it!

I know what you mean.+SAD+
So far, when Danny gets confused, he plops down and flattens out. That's a good move so far.
