My PWC, Tucker, was neutered at 7 months around the end of February/1st of March. I'm concerned as I've seen some significant personality changes and I don't know if they coincide with the neutering, the age, or what.
Prior to being neutered, Tucker was Mr. Confidence, energetic, interested in everthing, never fearful and would look for any excuse to frap madly through the house, running the same pattern over and over.
Since his neuter, the one positive is that he is no longer marking everything, but other than that, his personality has really changed. He doesn't seem as confident, he's not as energetic, he has yet to frap, which really concerns me. He will run and play but no frapping and loses interest long before he used to. Honestly,he lays around the house a lot of the time in the evenings looking like he's lost his best friend.
He's definitely much quieter and more subdued."SLEEP:"SLEEP:
Health wise, except for itching (since 12 weeks), he's in great health. His coat looks great and he's cleaning up his Canidae (he and mom, Abbie, eat at the same time so there is also the whole competition thing there:).
Is this common after neutering? Do the Corgis go through a "fearful" phase? (My Bernese Mountain Dogs used to do this sometimes right before a year of age)
(....has the neutering robbed him of his "mojo"..??! )
I want my spunky, confident boy back...+SAD+
ideas?
