Shippo's Science Project?

I was playing fetch with Shippo inside today, and he did the strangest thing! He stopped at his water bowl halfway back to me and repeatedly dropped the ball around the bowl until he managed to drop it in the water! It's like he wanted to see what would happen... Then after that, he bobbed around for the ball till he got it back out of the bowl and continued bringing the ball back.

It was totally hilarious, and at the same time awfully intelligent (at least to me lol). I just thought I'd share. Sometimes I wonder what goes through his head. >^^;<

That is really cute. Sometimes Dillon does stuff like that and you have to wonder what is going through their heads... or maybe he wanted to return a very drippy wet ball to you as a joke :LAUGH:

Both mine put stuff in the water bowl all the time - and Rupert's cat Tucker does the same - who knows what the heck they are thinking!

Whenever the big communal water dish goes empty, Rhys picks it up and brings it in the living room and kind of flops it around - Like, "hey mom - I'm thirsty!"

Their is also a matching smaller bowl that sits in Andy's crate. One day, they were both empty. So Rhys brought out the big one, then the little one and would put the little one inside the big one! I was impressed. :SPINNY:

Hah, Trevor drops his ball in the water bowl, too! Our routine is to play ball every morning after walkies, then, when I stop to scoop up his yard, he carries the ball over to his dish, drops it in and proceeds to drink! Oh, yeah, and afterwards he picks the (tennis) ball out of the water, lays down with it and tries to pull it apart with his teeth. :ROLLEYES

My two have never put anything in their water bowl.

Tucker will these days, take Lulu's toy from her when we are outside and drop it in the creek. And Lulu goes in the creek after it. I'd like to think he is her personal trainer getting her ready for the lake this summer rather than just an obnoxious big brother.
