Well Boots and Fisher developed a bad habit this weekend. I think it was because my neighbors were cooking a pig for Cinco de Mayo. Either way the boys like to wander and normally they stay on our property. Not anymore! "NO:": They discovered the piggie!!!! I cant keep them home now! I have to either walk them each time they go out - no free play except inside or let them out in the little yard - which is not big enough to really enjoy or tie them out side. All options are horrible and I dont like them. Why cant the boys be good and stay home!!! Why do they have to be little convicts? :ARG:

Any advice? They love their outdoor time together but with piggie smells in the air and the baby chickens they love to pounce on it is really hard to keep them under control! +SAD+

Oh my, I side with the dogs, I'd find it hard to stay home with that good smell in the air. Nothing is more torture, than soup on the stove and walking by a great smelling BBQ. The soup just doesn't taste as good.

Too many temptations prevents good behavior. A fenced area for them is the only foolproof method for good behavior.

We are working on finishing the deck sides so they cant escape so we can let them go out in the little yard and on the deck. For now to make sure we are either taking them out on leashes or teathering them so they can sun on the deck. It is sad but I think a necessary evil til we get it all fixed up. "NO:":

My goodness, why sad? They are getting excellent supervision and will have a safe place to snooze in the sun.

We added a metal railing to our verandah opening last summer, previous to that, I just strung out our 2 old metal x-pens to keep the dogs on it.
