Does your corgi ever use the playground equipment at a park or your backyard?

Here I was so worried about my new corgi using stairs because I totally forgot about Pepper going up a tall slide and going down with my son. Yes, hubby was behind her and I was at the bottom of the slide to catch them both. Maybe Pepper was helping my son with his extreme fear of heights, I can't remember. If a slide had too steep of stairs, Pepper would bark and bark until my son slid down off that slide, a good mother hen.

We had the little tots 3 step play set with a 2 or 3 foot slide in our yard. I remember Pepper and my son barely both fitting on the play set. Pepper would have preferred to jump off rather than go down the little slide.

So does your dog go down a slide? Their nails prevent an invite into an inflatable pool or water slide.

My kids are teenagers, so we don't have any swing sets or play ground equipment anymore. Dogs around here are not allowed in public parks; so no picnics for Cody and no slides for him either.

Merrie, when I sit on the floor, Trevor does leaps and bounds across my lap, using my legs for his springboard. I AM the playground equipment!!

My first Corgi, Riley, loved the playground equipment up at our school - she would try and run up the slide, she'd climb on anything that she could and would run up any teeter-totter she'd see. Rupert is very much a believer in "around" - as in go around not through, over, in, under anything! I think if I let Jemma off she'd be like Riley and be on all of the equipment. When we walk by the creek and the river she'll be the one running on fallen logs and up on the boulders on the banks. She's the daring one!

I sometimes take the pups with me to the playground (only if I know it's a time of day when there most likely won't be others there). Checkers is more of the "go around" type as well. He will climb the equipment some if I encourage it, but he's not overly enthusiastic. Gator on the other hand.... LOVES playgrounds. He runs into and through tunnels, down slides, over the wiggly bridge thing. He thinks all playgrounds were made just special for him. Fun to watch him go.... looking forward to a day when I can trust him off-leash long enough to let him play without being drug along behind him!
