I got sad news: The red brindle unfortunately has a congenital defect, hydrocephulus. He is very very loving , loves to cuddle and play but will probably end up blind .....nothing herditary and none of the others are effected.
This is the middle one on the third photo. He won't live beyond age 2. The description of the personality was heart wrenching as that was what I wanted.
The good news: The other puppies all have really good temperments so far...they all run over to be hugged and petted..I'm sure one of them will capture your heart as well. One less puppy, but the rest have good personalities and we aren't the ones missing out on the puppy, whew.
They are 4 weeks old: 1st photo - the big boy gnawing on the girl. 2nd photo - I call him pretty boy on the left with red in back and girl on the right. 3rd photo, girl with mouth showing those puppy teeth and big boy delighting in human feet. 4th photo - such a riot of girl on back making the ears look like they are up! Boy the activity level has tripled since the last photos.
The girl's white edged ears just touch me and my hubby likes the big boy. Pretty boy has such gorgeous markings, if his body follows he might be the one the breeder keeps, but one never can tell at such a young age. Luckily we really adore them all and thus the sadness of one life ending early. Puppy fever :SPINNY: We will be blessed with whichever one will be ours. 6 weeks, 6 loooooong weeks.

Cuties!! Puppy fever!! :SPINNY:
I love the little girl's look in that third picture! What a mouth! She must be feisty!
It's sad about the little red one, though...poor baby. Is the breeder going to keep him?

It's sad about the little red one, though...poor baby. Is the breeder going to keep him?I did ask. He has the most severe form. They will keep him as long as he is stable. As his health issues increase and quality of life becomes low, then they will do the right thing.
love the little girl's look in that third picture! What a mouth! She must be feisty! You mean that isn't a yawn? Or do you think she wants in on those human toes to check out

It is quite sad about the one, hopefully the breeder will be able to keep him and make his shorter life still full of love and happiness for him..
Big boy is adorable, the one of him chewing on his sister is hilarious, the expression on her face is too cute, like "GET OFF!!!!" She is really cute- that did look like a yawn to me ( that photo of her showing her teeth) Pretty boy is a cutie too, but i really like big boy! ( i wanna squeeze him!)
THey are all adorable - so when will you know which one is yours ( did you ask for a male or a female? or did you just leave it up to the breeder? )

Ohhhh puppies playing. The first picture is HILARIOUS, I love the expression on the little girl's face :) I am of course so sorry to hear about the little brindle boy puppy...you grow so attached to all the pups even if you don't know them, and learning that one isn't well is just devastating.
We have about the same wait as you....at least we all have each other's company to make the wait easier!

I love the little girl's look in that third picture! What a mouth! She must be feisty! You are CORRECT....The breeder just replied She is in the process of attacking her brother. I caught her in mid bite.. I call the girl trouble....she is always up to something and is continually leaving the box. Oh my we would have our hands full with her. I think metal tubing on the lamp cords might be better than plastic!
It may be as long as a week before that we will know which one is ours. Or who knows, maybe the day of pickup (June 23) if the temperaments are so similar. Either way, it is fun to hear their personalities develop. We thought originally a male, but reality was either one. If we get big boy, I better start my pull ups, push ups, etc. I bought the larger comfy bed on sale at Fosters & Smith that is 36" long for our TV room.
At least big boy can't skinny by like a smaller one! I know I'm fooling myself on that. Aren't corgis like mice, can reduce their body in half in order to reach food? Pepper did it at Petco going underneath their shelving to retrieve one kernel of kibble.

Those corgi girls - they are so full of ___ & vinegar!
They are all so adorable, and I also love the girl's face in Picture #1!!! If you do bring her home, life will never be boring! Are you crossing the days off on your calendar yet???
So sad about red - I hope that his life, however short, is happy. +SAD+

This is a very basic question (as most of mine tend to be....), but how can you tell that the red brindle is in fact a red brindle? From the picture he looks black and white just like the others!
I do know that corgi coats change dramatically in the first few months, but how can you tell what one is going to become???
These are all gorgeous! It's such fun to see what Sadie's puppies will look like in two more weeks. +WUBCLUB+

I do know that corgi coats change dramatically in the first few months, but how can you tell what one is going to become???LeslieI think my photos I posted before might show more of a contrast. At two 1/2 weeks the red brindle started showing the red under the brindle. I could only notice a brown color and the breeder said the photos just don't show the color. Yes, my complaint about some digital cameras and my computer is the color. The other puppies are like their mom who you would swear is black, but in the sunlight you realize she is a dark brindle. I like to think it is similar to black jaguar whose spots only show in the sunlight. I don't think those puppies are showing the brindle yet, but I could be wrong as I thought the red was brown.
My tri with brindle tips showed the brindle on her cheeks at 4 weeks and at 6 had the brindle eyebrows - I just checked her polaroids.
