Check this out:

Apparently, China has blocked access to itchmo, due to all of the concerned pet parents in China looking to the Seattle-based website for news about the recall.

Again, I am nearly speechless that we actually deal with a government like this."NO:":

That is unbelievable. I guess they don't want their citizens to read anymore about how things were handled, or possibly more stuff that will be exposed.

Just shows how much they really want people to know. And how much they care about human and animal welfare.

I'm with you, why we buy food items from them is beyond me!!!

Sadly the reason the west does business with China is money, pure and simple.

Exactly-It's all about greed and while the animals, and as it appears now days, us humans could be suffering as well while the fat cats keep getting fatter lining their pockets.

I am surprised, but shouldn't be. Outrageous that they don't want their own people to be aware of what is going on. I think the whole thing is awful.

I can't believe it either. Especially when our Government is paying our farmers not to grow so many crops. Before this dog food disaster, I didn't realize we were importing food products from overseas - let alone China. I still look down my nose at anything that is Made in China but unfortunately, almost everything we buy any more is made in China. I hope this is a wake up call and alot of this stops. It is simply greed. I am sorry if that sounds snobbish, but some people can remember the days when Made in China was not looked highly upon because the quality was so poor and in my opinion it is still poor.

I don't believe China will ever get to the point Japan has. I remember back when I was a kid, we use to laugh at anything made in Japan as we knew it was junk probably made from leftover WWII beer cans left behind by our GI's. That's the truth, I read it once in a notable magazine. The thing is, Japan got their act together and started producing the best electronics in the world and her cameras were next to the Leica rangefinder made in Germany. Also, it goes without saying how well their cars have done over the years.

Now, we'd give an eye tooth to have something actually made in Japan and not something they've farmed out to other countries.
