We had a lovely walk today with around 15 Corgis and their people (along with a couple of honorary Corgis) around Greenlake in Seattle. It was such a nice day some of us did 2 laps around the lake - about 6 miles. We of course got lots of attention from the other walkers and cyclists. On our second lap we surprised a woman walking a brindle Cardi . She was wondering why her dog kept stopping and looking behind her, when she finally turned around she saw a herd of Corgis coming up on her.

Here are a couple of pictures from the day:

Bella had to stay home with her broken toe, but Rudy insisted on being in the front of the pack most of the walk

Did the corgis do two laps, 6 MILES??

Is Chester slacking down here with exhaustion after 2 miles?

Laurie, you forgot to mention dangling Carly from the pier as her legs swam in the air! Do any other corgis do this in anticipation of swimming? Carly pulled toward the water the entire time around the lake, so finally I gave in and just dropped her in. She seemed a little shocked about going under the water, but bopped up and swam happlily toward the shore! I'd post the photo, but it was a little far away. And then, just to get even, she broke into a plastic container of wasabi almonds and ate them all while we had lunch. A day neither of us will forget. By the way, nuts don't digest well in dogs. Don't have a photo of that either.
