Yesterday I got 3 of my wisdom teeth pulled and was a little under the weather to say the least when I first got home.
Frodo decided that he would keep watch while I tried to catch some Zzz's.
He started out well enough:
"It's okay mom, I've got ya covered"

"I'm on high-alert over here! That cat takes one more step and I'll be forced to take action!!"

Yaaawn

"I'll just rest my head right here"

"Seriously Mom, I swear I'm still..."
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n248/NerualSSDD/1%20year%20old/IMG_1355.jpg
"...awake..."
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n248/NerualSSDD/1%20year%20old/IMG_1356.jpg
And he's gone.

Izzy also decided to practice her therapy duties:

AWWW! I wish I'd had a dog to sit on my lap like that when I had to have my wisdom teeth out. What a lucky doggy mommy you are :)

I love the photos Lauren - he's such a sweet looking guy. Mine get like that too - Rupert isn't as demonstrative, so when he comes up for a snuggle it's extra special. In fact I'm on my big comfy chair typing this with Rupert squished beside me, 2 cats - one on the arm the other snuggling Rupert and Jemma at the foot of the chair - I think I'm safe!

Thanks MrsGrace!
BTW, how are you feeling?
They gave me lots of pills :TWITCHY: I feel great...and I look like a chipmunk! I also get to sit on here for the rest of the week because I'm not allowed back in school until I'm done with my pills.

Thanks CorgiMum, unlike Izzy, Frodo is very much a momma's boy whereas Izzy is more of an everybody dog.
I'm not really in that much pain except for at night when my meds wear off, I have never really minded having mouth work done, I just can't stand the feeling of stitches in my mouth :ARG:

EUGH...I'm glad you're so courageous. My experience getting my wisdom teeth out was MISERABLE.... all four were impacted, and they did them all at once. I was in so much pain and so swollen I could hardly sleep. They put me on percoset, which for whatever reason didn't even get rid of my pain (no lie). It would put me to sleep, I'd be in pain as I slept, and then I'd wake up in more pain but not able to take more medicine yet. I think it was a full week before I really was read to be up and about again. I slept with two big packages of frozen peas up against either side of my face for at least three nights :oP

Poor Lauren!
my teeth are having sympathy pains right now for you! A bag of peas would be a wonderful thing when the meds start to wear off...
Hubby and both our Sons had to have all 4 of theirs taken out at once. Poor Babes were miserable for a week! I only had to have one pulled and it took 5 shots of Novocain to numb me and still thought he was pulling my eye out
Take care - looks like the corgis have you covered

Thanks Emilie, I guess Dillon and Frodo shouldn't try out for any guard dog positions, lol.
Yeesh bunnybutts, you only got novacaine? I was out cold when they did mine, and I have about 3 more days of meds left: Tylenol 3, Codeine, Amoxicillin, and antibacterial mouthwash, I think I'm all set :BIGGRIN"

I guess I lucked out when I got mine pulled. Actually, they put me to sleep and cut out 2 of them. I even ate a hamburger that evening (it was cut up into pieces). I didn't have too much pain, but it didn't feel great either.

OMG! What a great series of pictures!!!! SO CUTE!!!!:CUTE:
Hope your mouth is feeling okay. I only had to have one out, but it was really bad and required some sawing of the jawbone, so I was miserable. Of course, I didn't have a corgi to watch over me, which would have helped a lot! Do you have any bruising? When I went back to work, people kept telling me I had paint on my face. (Yes, that's right, I moonlight as a housepainter, and I came in this morning without taking a shower or looking in the mirror! Make yourself useful and go get me some jello!)
Feel better soon! And stock up on broth, jello, mashed potatoes and creamed corn! +WUBCLUB+

Wow Kristi! You were lucky! I didn't eat solid food for over 2 weeks! I was so excited when I was able to chew again!

Lauren,
I hope that mouth of yours is feeling better soon. Both of my kids had all four taken out last year - I know about the "chipmunk face look" Of course, I catered to them at that time to make them feel better.

Just think Lauren, if you had gotten some of those plastic jobbies-voila...no more pain or shots, no more weekends with your mouth swollen from novacaine. Yep-works for me.

I'm jealous ZdogZ, I would kill for a burger right now! I'm stuck with applesauce and broth, pleh.
I don't have any bruising yet, but every morning I get up and I'm more swollen :NAH: lol
