Seeing Frodo's photo of a yawn made me remember to ask, when you yawn, does it make your corgi yawn?

I remember we had a game with Pepper when she would stop a yawn we were too close and might inspect her teeth, I would do a noisy long yawn and it would trigger Pepper to get her yawn out.

Well writing about this just made me yawn. Good night.

too funny... We do a game where when Dillon yawns, i stick my finger on his tongue and it stops his yawn...after about 5 or 6 times of this, he gets the funniest look on his face and is clearly frustrated! that is usually when i stop and i let him actually yawn...the only side effect of the game is that it makes me yawn too! ( and then my husband sticks his finger in my mouth! LOL now you know where i got the game from  )

Yawning does appear to be contagious in our house. :CUTE:

Too funny Em - when Jackie yawns - I touch her tongue too! (just the curly tip - I can't resist!) :BIGLAUGH:

When Zeke yawns, his tongue almost touches the floor! He has got a long tongue.

I just cant help it either. You know when we had our corgi weekend, i did the same thing to Lulu ( susan's cardi girl) and after about the third time she shot me a look to say " hey lady, do you MIND?????" So i stopped but i couldnt help myself. Glad to know i am not the only one who does that...

Yawning means more to a dog than just being tired. A dog will yawn when it's stressed. It's also a calming signal.

PeggyYes, when Pepper would calm down after a cat so rudely entered our yard, she always would yawn. She didn't yawn much in the throws of the end illness. She'd smack as she put her head down.
