Okay folks let's kick this off. Photos of your dog as a pup or when they became part of your family with comparison photos of what they look like now.

(If you don't know how to add photos - open up the "Show off Your Dog" forum and read Cheryl's sticky thread called "How to Post Pictures)

Here are mine:

Riley, my first Corgi who passed away last summer at the age of 5.
http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u70/Jespah_corgis/RileyBeforeandAfter.jpg

Rupert, my boy, went all the way to southern Indiana to get him - I think it was worth it!
http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u70/Jespah_corgis/RupertBeforeandAfter.jpg

Jemma, we got her last summer at 7 months of age to help Rupert and I after we lost Riley.

Great pics so far, guys!

The first pic here was taken within a half-hour of meeting Trevor for the first time. He was already 5 months old, and tearing around the yard (nothing has changed. ) The second picture was taken about a couple of months ago at a recent Corgi meetup (and is also my current avatar.)

There is going to be a lot of Ahhhhh's in our house looking at this thread. I swear Zeke as a puppy looks like the fox I've seen.

Photobucket was easy to put the photos on, I am surprised.

1st photo of Pepper at 7 weeks - guess she thought it was dinner time. 2nd photo when Pepper was 9, and 3rd photo I couldn't resist posting because at age 15 to see the final transformation of the tan points.

You know, there are no ugly Corgis are there? Every one of them are so delightful and beautiful to look at. The transformation from puppy to young adult is staggering and the eyes-well, they say it all. I've always been a push over for brown eyes so, I stay in the backward position each time I view these lovely Corgis. I know each of you are very proud-and, rightly so.:CUTE:

Heather (getting puppy same weekend as us June 23), are you dying from this thread yet? I never realized the effect it would have. I'm almost in tears seeing Izzy's puppy photo. How yearn to have a puppy looking up at me that way!

Okay I'm taking deep breaths, I can get through this, sigh. Maybe I'll take a break and watch the baby birds.

All of the puppies and grown up dogs are so precious, and they are all so different. How fun :)

Deb, I can't believe how much Maya has grown either. She still seems tiny next to her beast of a brother though ;)

Bethany, you definitely get the sympathy vote! I love my students, but if I had them for another two weeks, I don't think I would feel the same way ;) As it is, one just got suspended until the last day of school for trying to stab us with scissors...that ought to give me some points for getting out so early, huh?

Thanks for the wonderful comments. He gets away with way too much due to those eyes, lol. Then add a cute head tilt, geez.
As cute as he is, he is not a snuggly corgi or lap dog. He will only snuggle on occasion, and you really can't hold him on your lap too long. He does cry when we come home, and gives lots of kisses!

Judy, sounds like Gizmo is a lot like Jackie ( fluffypants) in the snuggling department... Jess was saying that she snuggles on her terms - maybe becuase of all the extra hair they get super hot? just wondering.

Toby is so cute! I love the last photo of him too, he has a really handsome smile!

Artos, Barnabus is such a handsome boy now, love that bad boy image with his harley leathers on ! oh and his puppy photos are precious, i love the ones with the ear slighly flopped , too cute - and the one with him on his back - *heart melting* Trax was such a cute little puppy too and has grown up into a handsome dog as well.. OMG!!!! I started viewing this thread and making mental notes to comment on each picture . . . but there are just too many and now I am afraid that I will forget someone! So I just want to say that they are ALL gorgeous! What an attractive bunch of puppies and adults. I can't believe Maya - what a lovely young lady she has become!!! No wonder we are all so proud!

Judy - Emilie is right. Jackie is just the same as Giz in the snuggling department, and same goes for kisses. She's stingy with her lovin's . . . which is such a shame because she's so darn soft you just want to bury your face in her fur (mud-baths aside  ). I also think it has to do with her getting too hot under all that fluff . . . because she also seeks out the coolest places possible to sleep. Or maybe she just doesn't like us!

That could be, yep, Giz gets too hot if snuggled too much. I think part of it is because he is an alpha dog, I had to work with him as a pup allowing me to turn him upside-down. "NO:": He needs to know who the real alpha dog is! But then again, he also gets lots of belly scratches.
He just had his belly shaved, so I know I'll see him sleeping on his back cooling off.

Thanks. You folks who have the snuggling dogs are fortunate. My boys will snuggle only on occasions....they seem to prefer roughhousing with me.

The Biker dude has been trying to sleep on my head recently. Barnabas (Barn-Barn or B2...or B3: if you want to call him Biker Barn Barn) sleeps on my bed and when there's thunderstorms, he scampers to the top of my head and tries to sit there!!!:ARG:

Too Late, I know, but I couldn't resist. The first picture is from his breeder's home in Kentucky. I think he's between 3 and 4 weeks old. The second picture is from right after we drove home to Miami after picking him up in Ft. Lauderdale and the final one is Zack on his favorite chair in the den. The site from which he guards me and the whole household from the evil trio of neighborhood cats!
