Hello Everyone! Keep your fingers crossed for Rudy and me this weekend as we enter our third show. We've been practicing and Rudy has been doing a good job at home and at our conformation class - if only I were the judge we'd have it made! This will be his last show in the 9-12 month puppy dog class. We are showing to breeder-judges both days so I'm looking forward to some good feedback. I don't know yet how many dogs are in our class but I know that it will include two of his littermates - it will be fun. Think positive thoughts for us!

All fingers and paws crossed here for you & Rudy this weekend!
If I was the judge he'd have it made too Laurie. Where is the show? And plans yet to bring him up to a northern one?

Thank you for the crossed fingers! The show is in Puyallup, WA - assuming they don't designate the fairgrounds as an emergency shelter, and cancel the show. It will be a major if all the dogs are able to make it.
I would love to come up to Canada to show. Rudy's father got his Canadian championship, so maybe Rudy should follow in his paw-steps.

Well, we're back from the show, he got 3rd on Saturday and 2nd today. Overall he showed well although was pretty fidgety Sat. on the table. His brother Ewe Who won the class both days, and Cooper (Rudy's father) won Best of Breed, so at least it stayed in the family. Both judges were very nice, the judge today was a Corgi breeder. Even though Rudy was the biggest dog in his class, he definitely didn't look as mature as the other dogs - he has some filling out to do so he doesn't look so torpedo-like :TWITCHY:
But we had fun and we are both tired. The shopping was good - I went a little crazy at the Dogwise booth. One of the booths had all of their Lupine collars and leashes half price, so both dogs got a new set.
Next dog event - Agility with Bella in February!

Sounds like you had a great weekend! One thing I truly love about dog shows is all the neat dog stuff you can buy. I would have gone nuts as well.
