I've just recently started posting here and am a new Corgi owner. My little one is Levi, who is 14 weeks old. He just had his third set of vaccinations. My worry is this: I took him to the vet recently and he cautioned that he shouldn't be around other dogs, etc. However, I didn't realize until very recently that parvo is contagious from feces, etc., not just direct contact with other dogs. I've taken Levi on small walks around our neighborhood, which is fairly well traveled by dogs, and even gone to a small park which I know has been inhabited by other dogs, thinking I was doing okay by not allowing him to have direct contact with other dogs. I'm now petrified/paranoid that he could have been exposed to parvo. How much should I worry about this? At his last check-up, they did a parvo test, which was negative, but I still worry about exposure since then.
Thanks for any input you can give me!

You can't do anything about it now other than wait and see, and if he gets sick, go to the vet right away. (First sign is usually either diarrhea or vomiting but could be refusing to eat or not wanting to play.) He'll probably be fine.

We had a pup with Parvo many years ago, and with the fact that we got him to Vet ASAP as soon as he became ill, got him through it just fine.
As Bobbie said, just keep a close eye on him. Fingers and paws crossed that he is fine.

You can't keep him away from everything, but you can watch out for feces, and other things he can get into. Stay away from areas where you know lots of dogs congregate just to be safe. He'll probably be fine. :BIGGRIN"
Is parvo bad in your area? Some places have a lot, some hardly at all. It seems like areas with more strays have a higher number of parvo cases.
Don't worry, if he gets sick, take him right in to the vet. But really, just enjoy him and try not to worry.
