Anyone following this battle going on between Wysong and Nestle that manufactures Purina?

Apparently Nestle patented a formula for a probiotic additive for food. Wysong uses the same formula. Nestle threatened Wysong regarding the infringement of the patent.

Where the story gets really interesting is that Wysong started using the formula years ago. Nestle indeed filed the patent and has rights to the formula. But Nestle does not include probiotics in it's Purina dog food.

I have never used Wysong, people swear by it. I do however like the idea of probiotics in my dogs' food and choose food for them that includes probiotics.

Just curious if this might effect anyone here.

interesting. I know Wysong is a very "sciency" kind of food. It is weird that they would steal some elses research....

Huh, I hadn't heard this one. It will be interesting to read what Wysong has to say about it. I remember that they were a bit defensive during the pet food scandal; it will be intereseting to read their take on alleged patent infringement. :SPINNY:
