This forum has been started to put forth info and to promote the different types of therapy work that are available for us to participate in with our dogs.

If anyone would like to pass along Therapy Dog information that is being done in their communities, please share it with us.

Dylan and I attended a local community picnic a couple of Saturdays ago, we were there as one of the two member teams of the Saint John's Ambulance Therapy Dog Program to show the community that this service is available and to hopefully encourage others to participate with their dogs as well.

We did have one lady that is going to consider volunteering with her Mastiff.

Chatting with a picnic goer that was very interested in the program.

Dylan & I taking a break, it was a very hot day.

Dad & Danny were off to the side away from the crowd, & Danny Boy was showing his displease at the extreme lack of attention he received.

One of the most frequent comments that we heard that day was, "My goodness! He's very calm for a Corgi!"

We both agreed that we had a great time! Although Dly Bob was sure that every person walking towards him with a hot dog in hand was going to give it to him! Both boys did enjoy some ice cream.

You both look so official in your outfits!

Good for you for doing this work, Dyl-Bob is the perfect dog to do this kind of work. I hope you and others like Jessica will inspire folks to look into this kind of work.

Good on ya Barbara!! +APPLAUSE+

He was giving me great focus as he was in his working mode Susan, and he loved it!

Dylan really misses his training classes and his sessions at home so I do a few things with him almost every day while working with Danny. Aka My Big Furry Toad.

Sibling rivalry is a great motivator at our house.

The following Monday we were invited to participate in a informative event at one of the Native gatherings here in Chilliwack. The SPCA was represented as well and a private speaker that gave a talk on the care and welfare of companions animals, their place in our families, & their place in our society in general.

Dylan shone with the attention of the children.+WUBCLUB+
