Good news for Janine!
Janine is still doing well so its time to reduce her pred to 5 mg eod. All her numbers except RBC/HCT were good (and her red blood count has never been normal.) She feels good and her teeth looked much better than in the spring and no longer look like they need cleaning. (Lots of marrow bones this summer or maybe it was those rabbit bones!)
We talked about what to do after reducing the pred.. which drug to cut out first. But for the fall we'll got to 5 mg pred eod and then see how she does. She still has some muscle wasting and dry fur from the steroid but if that goes away she may just stay on Pred a little longer.
She has some kind of issue with her eyelid but it went away when they put a local on it so they could stain it so it may just be something that is under her eyelid. They might have removed it- it was hard to tell.
The best news... they only had to poke her once!
