I thought I'd share some pics of my not-so corgi dog. Mollie is a 7 (almost 8) year old Poodle/Pomeranian mix who came to me as a rescue from a puppy mill. She has hip dysplasia, skin problems, teeth problems, and a whole slew of behavioral problems, but I still love her. She's a tough little girl who had a really tough start, but I like to think that she's living the high life now.
Mollie loves playing ball (even if Frodo and Izzy refuse to).

The anatomy of playing ball with Mollie:

Lauren picks up ball, Mollie stares her down

Lauren throws ball, Mollie gives chase

Mollie grabs ball, heads straight for Lauren at top speed

And just when you think you're gonna get it back...she veers off course!

Mollie is a fashionable dog, she must stay up with the latest fashions! Mollie being emo.

I need my beauty sleep

She often steals Frodo's toys (the slimy looking worm thingy) and torments him from the top of the couch *LOL*

Mollie is really cute, and she is lucky to have found you. How old was she when your family got her? and does this make 3 dogs total for you? I know Cody would love to play ball with her.

We got Mollie when she was around 1 1/2-2 years old after she was found in an Amish puppy mill raid (there are so many puppy mills in PA, I think I read that it has the 2nd highest puppy mill rate, most of them are run on Amish farms +SAD+ ) and she'd already been bred, probably at every heat she had.
Yup, 3 dogs here. LOL, tell Cody she's be happy to play as long as he recognizes that she's the princess and she gets everything that she wants, including the ball...all the time

She even has a throne...

She looks like a little lamb running. Great photos, you have a real eye for taking at the right time and right light.

she does look like a little lamb MGM!

Em likes to play ball too - does the same trick of faking me after running back.
Chloe does not care of balls or fetch at all... she would rather just chew on a stuffed toy or play "jump over Leah" while Leah dangles one of Chloes toys in front of her!

Lauren,
Your little mollie is a cutie... I love the guarding the ball shot, she looks tired! So glad you were able to rescue her from that horrible life she was in before, I am sure she is so very happy to have such a loving mom and a great home... I do think she looks like a little lamb too....do the corgi's herd her around?

Mollie is a cutie! And what a good family you have, rescuing her. PA is such a tough state to live in with the puppy mills....and yet SO many people are just still ignorant about them. :(

T-Gal,

I bet Chloe and Emma love having Leah around to entertain them; will she now be spending the summer with you?

Wahoo! I finished my marketing project early so I got a chance to pop in at school. :)

Thanks MGM, I've never really thought about her looking like a lamb, but I can see it now!

T-Gal, it looks like Chloe and Leah have a great time together! Izzy will chase the ball once in a while, but once she reaches it she just runs over it, lol. Once in a while Frodo will go for a ball, but Mollie is the only consistent one.

Thanks Kristi and Linda, I sure hope she enjoys living with me as much as I enjoy having her.

I love the guarding the ball shot, she looks tired!
LOL, Mollie has mastered the art of being "tired" to get out of so many things! Like when it's time to get in the car and go home she gets "tired" and must be carried to the car, sheesh, and when it's time to work on obedience she becomes "tired" (although when we work on tricks like crawl, high-five, beg she suddenly not "tired" anymore) yet if a rabbit or a ball crosses her path she's off like a bullet!

....do the corgi's herd her around?
Haha, nope, they know better!

PA is such a tough state to live in with the puppy mills....and yet SO many people are just still ignorant about them.
That's so true. Most of the people I know don't even know exactly what a puppy mill is, and they certainly don't know about the huge problem in PA about it. It really is sad :(

Mollie is a cutie! Such a sad start in life for her . . . but she looks very happy now! Looks like she has a great life, and knows it too! It's good to be the queen.
