I have never seen a breed of dogs that rolls or lays on its backs as much as these - at least mine sure do!
Jemma pooped out from the lake last weekend.

Rupert is a champion roller and was enjoying playing with my beach towel at the same time the other night.

I so agree! I've NEVER seen a breed of dog with such a strong, breed-wide sleeping preference. I honestly had a momentary panic the first morning I went in to greet Sadie and found her like this:

Now that she's taken over our home and hearts, we're very likely to find her just like this:

Annie sleeps like this too but have yet to grap a photo of it. Wyatt rolls and "carpets" as I call it at least 4 times a day, complete with loud growls and grumbles and general odd noises. I think it's hilariously endearing and after all these years I STILL laugh every single time.

Who can resist dogs that smile even when they are asleep?
Everyone should be owned by a corgi! :BIGGRIN"
Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures!

Andy is equally comfortable both ways. Lately when she's been sleeping on the bed with me (which becomes more frequent as the weather cools), she has been preferring the balled-up method.
One of our border collies was fond of the on-the-back, paws-in-the-air sleeping style...the other one was a ball sleeper. My Lab, almost 14, sleeps on her side or in a ball.

and though she is not a corgi, Abby has picked up some habits from her big brother Toby.

These are all great pictures! Trixie has slept with her belly up since she was a pup. Murphey took a while to start sleeping like that but is now a champ at 'upside down sleeping' too. I only can find one picture of them upside down and it's Trixie as a pup.

What cracks me up is that every corgi seems to LOVE this "upside down corgi" position... and they all look so darn cute this way.. We love when our boys sleep that way. Often times in the middle of the night i will look down at the end of the bed, and there is gus.. belly up -- just so funny. I didnt have as many photos of upside down sleeping corgis as i thought.
All the photos are really great...Abby looks like she is trying to get a tan on that white belly LOL!
I love Louie with his teeth showing, Dillon does that a lot by i couldn't find any photos of it... adorable

Here are a couple of recent pics of Annie! These are particularly special given the back surgery 9 months ago!

Our avatar says it all.
I visited a friend this week who has a Westie, groomed by shaving her back hairs short and letting the underneath hair hang long. When the dog slept on her back, it looked like a bowl of spaghetti.
