Ok, get ready to roll your collective eyes, but Jax may become a true corgi yet. Tonight he mastered his platypus with the squeaky eggs inside. I looked down and he had removed all 3 of the squeakers. In disbelief, I stuff them back in and immediately he destuffs the toy. Twice more he did it. I couldn't be prouder! Soon, he'll be ripping and tearing and destuffing and destroying his stuffies like any respectable corgi. I'm verklept....:BIGLAUGH:

Sounds like he is ready for the Hide-a-bee toy or Hide-a-squirrel toy!

We have hide-a-squirrel, and Gizmo LOVES it, the squeaker is so high pitched.

Annie, the squirrels are that stuffed. And the tree house they live in isn't stuffed at all!

I just sent a request to "santa paws" if he would get one of those for Sara.. looks like it would be a lot of fun!

I just got him a gator that has the squeaky eggs inside...we'll see if the learning transfers. lol

I just had mom look at what your posted...and she just shook her head and said "I don't think so..." +SAD+ I have some nylabones that mom got me that are for powerful chewers. I can't help it if I am a powerful chewer/destuffer AND a DIVA!

It really is so cool when all the sudden something clicks and our four footed friends do what we always hoped they would. I equate Jax's discovery of the joy of total toy destruction with Shaun's wagging tail. If you remember early on I reported that Shaun and I were delighted with each other but that I didn't understand why he never wagged his tail. Now that tail goes all the time and never ceases to make me smile.

It really is the small things, isn't it.
