Has this US site been mentioned before? I stumbled upon it yesterday through an Australian link.

www.homemade-dog-treat-recipes.com

Looks very good - has Meals, Treats & Biscuits Recipes as well as a Forum and weekly Email recipes.

Kath, I have not seen that one yet. I have saved these other two which I will post here also. I had put them in another thread; one of these days I need to try making something.

That's a site full of lots of great treat ideas, thanks Kath!

The recipe that calls for baby food caught my eye as I have used jars of fruit from time to time for my dogs.

It calls for beef, but, when feeding meat type baby food to dogs it should be noted to make sure that they do not contain onion, or other ingredients that are harmful to dogs.

I believe that is usually the case when using junior type foods. Sounds like a very easy recipe though, and I'm sure that me two will enjoy it.

I can attest to that. When I was looking for foods for my sick cat, Stage 2 (Gerber brand) meat and vegetable mix foods had onion powder in them and stage 2 is for babies 7 -8 months old. I am not sure if every brand puts in Onion powder.

Thanks for the links, they make me wish that Izzy's stomach wasn't so darn sensative so I would be able to make some of this stuff.

Lauren, I've made meat popsicles (:TWITCHY: ) for Monty & Dylan, the loved them!

For puppers with sensative tummies...if your dog eats any canned foods, you can make up little patties and dry them to make treats. My dogs eat a dry food, but there is a canned version, I tried that once in the dehydrator and made up some crunchy little treats for them. You could also do that in the oven.

Thanks, I never even thought of that idea before! Next time I stop by the feed store I think I'll grab some of the canned and see how it goes.

You can find the strained meats without onion too. But you have to look. Some of the Gerber ones are ok, and some aren't.
