We came home just about an hour ago from having a FABULOUS time in Hampton, Virginia meeting Robin, who is Debbie's (glencorgi) sister, her husband Danny, a few of their friends, many of their dogs, and (of course!) MR. MAC! Leaving our baby was very hard, and we miss him terribly already, but we are SO GLAD to have met him, and we just had a blast getting to meet lots of dogs at our first show. We would be HAPPY to set up a Cool2BCorgi get together at another dog show sometime soon; they're just so much fun.

We arrived around noon yesterday, and Robin was very excited to meet us! We parked near her trailer and immediately found our Mac and hugged him, snuggled him, kissed his adorable little puppy face. He truly is just the most wonderful puppy we've ever met! Robin had a whole bag of goodies for us to take home which included all his paperwork. We also got a chance to meet a few of her other Cardis, a couple of Pugs (which her husband breeds), and her GIANT St. Bernard, Scooby! Once we were all settled and felt ready to leave our baby for a few hours, we headed into the show, stayed until the end of the day's events, and then met up with Robin and Danny again for dinner. By the time we were all finished eating, it was a little after 9 PM... time to say goodnight and hit the hay!

This morning we got up bright and early to see more of the festivities at the dog show. After watching some very special dogs win obedience and rally titles, and seeing nearly 50 Golden Retrievers be judged, we very excitedly got to watch Robin, Danny, and their friend's daughter Jackie show their Cardis. Although they overall had a very winning weekend, Robin's dog Rio was just NOT in a good mood, and she was the only one who didn't come out with a ribbon. There's still tomorrow! Once the Cardis were done, we headed back to the trailer to see Baby Mac again and fill out all his paperwork. We even got our first family photo again to commemorate the event officially :BIGGRIN" We set the date for the Big Day, too - June 23! We'll be driving to another show in Richmond just for the day to pick him up, since the drive is only about four hours. (Anyone want to meet up?!) We can stop at Colin's parents' house near Baltimore too, which will be a nice break for Mac and a great chance to meet his new grandparents!

We spent a little more time hanging around at the show, shopping (we got a littler Lupine collar, some toys, and VERY CUTE Euro-style oval magnets for the cars!), and watching some canine freestyle, and then decided to head home. Five hours later, we were missing our baby boy very, very much...and now we're more glad than ever that we have all of you to help us get through the next four weeks!

Without further ado...what you all REALLY came to see...

Here is Mac being VERY funny while mercilessly annoying his sister, C.G.:

Here's spectacular...and so much fun to watch! I can't wait to see all of his pictures once he gets home. How big was his litter? (I'm thinking of the cardi You Tube video that I just watched with a litter of NINE!).

What a cutie!! I love that ear! It's so hard waiting to bring them home, but more than worth the wait when you finally do. I can't wait to here all about little Mac as he grows...and they sure do grow fast! Cardi Power ;)

Originally there were actually TEN in Mac's litter! Unfortunately, some problems arose, and mom's milk was actually poisoning the babies. The puppies started fading fast and furious, and by the time everyone was healthy again and getting milk from the surrogate mom Robin was so luckily able to give them, only three were left. Basically, we're very lucky to have little Mac! He has two sisters who are also both black and white - C.G. is in a bunch of our pictures and has some dark tan points, and Cabby has dark drindle points, but didn't come to the show this weekend.

I also forgot to mention... we brainstormed for a LONG time for what Mac's registered name might be. We liked "Apple iBark," but that was more or name for a girl named Apple and we wanted something really special and unique just for Mac. It came to me as soon as I woke up this morning though, and Colin agreed that it was just perfect!

So Mac's registered name is "Faeriesteed Think Different." ('Think Different' is the Apple Computer slogan, for those who aren't quite as nerdy as we are... "GEEK: :BIGGRIN" ) We think it fits a smart little boy like him really well!

I agree, he is adorable and I too loved the video - my first thought on the tail pulling was - "Thank God, Delilah doesn't have a tail to pull!", she would bite the pup doing it! LOL

OH MY GOSH!!! ok, Mac i adorable!! i looked at all the photos and just adore his little face, he is precious! I know how hard it is to see them and then have to leave and wait before they can come home... I did that with Dillon, saw him at 6 1/2 weeks and then had to wait until he was 10 1/2 wks old to bring him home, It was so hard to wait, i thought i was going to die waiting for my little guy. You only have 4 weeks to go... and you have the added benefit of the fact that you have such a good breeder and she knows how excited you are for him she will send you updated photos so you can continue to see him grow. He is so cute, i love his little ear, and you know, that little marking on the white ear does look a little like an "I" hmmm ...

His registered name is very cute... I like it.

The video of him playing with his sister, just too cute... hope you are puppy proofing your house LOL!!!

Thank you so much for sharing your story, photos and video of Mac with us, i am so excited for you.

Yeah...Mac is really not that feisty a puppy (well, certainly no more feisty than any proper little boy at his age!)...he was all wags and kisses as soon as I picked him up, but once he was in my arms, he just knew he was safe with mommy, cuddled right up to my neck, and settled on down like a sweet little baby :) Sweet, sweet, sweet, and very calm. It's all that poor C.G. is just way too submissive! It took her until Sunday to figure out that biting that wonderful little white ear was a good way to get him back!

It's our pleasure to share!! I'm actually a little more calm about leaving him because I really, really know that he's in good hands and that he will be that much easier for us first-time puppy owners when he's a little older and has had even more time to spend with all his puppy friends and his sisters/siblings by his surrogate mom at home. Robin also was telling us that he has BIG HUGE ears (oohhh man, too cute!!) that will probably need taping starting in a week or so. I would be SO CLUELESS about how to do it, so I'm glad I have Robin looking after him so his ears will stay straight and lovely. (No offense meant to the very endearing bunch here who have some floppy-eared Corgis!) The waiting will be hard, but I couldn't be leaving him with anyone better.

I'm SO glad the visit went well and you are more relaxed about the 4 week wait. No more unknowns, now just pure excitement awaiting for you. Now is the time to do any weekend trips that don't allow dogs as you will be tied more to the house soon, delightfully tied.

We are picking up on the same day! But alas, I am alone with a graphic as my avatar. Mac is adorable in yours.

Heather!

What a precious little guy. I was just cracking up over the video of him pulling C.G. by the tail. I plan to show Tucker that video tonight so he won't feel bad about Lulu always nipping him! When she wants to play, that's how she gets him going.

Mac clearly had something he wanted C.G. to see! That was really funny.

And the pictures....

Not to worry you Heather but old Mac looked pretty snuggly with ColinDad!!!! He may be a Daddy's boy!

Mac is as cute as can be. I am so happy the big day is getting near for you.

I stayed home on puppy duty, but got to stay abreast of all the excitement via telephone. :CUTE: I heard it was +WUB+ at first sight for both sides. Mac is such a great puppy very fun, but not over the top in any way except for cute. <G> Sister CG, bless her heart, has always been such a docile little girl, ALL the other puppies gave her a hard time just as Mac did in the video (which was adorable and typical of days around here). <LOL>

As an update on some of the puppies I had posted pictures of to GC, Ginger the little brindle girl was in a litter I posted there. She is Cardiguy's Ruby's neice. For those who remember those photos, you can see how she is grown up and say you remember her when she looked like a little hampster.

I can't tell you how pleased, thrilled, excited, proud, ecstatic, delighted and happy I am that this all worked out for Heather, Colin and Mac.

Debbie and heather:

it is truly wonderful when it does work out.

Lulu was the docile puppy in her litter who got picked on. She is still very submissive to other dogs but when she plays she will go after the big guys w/o any reserve!

Her new best bud at day care is a very tall grayhound rescue. He let's Lulu lead him around by the nose! It's a hoot. The dog's name is Voyage and Lulu thinks he is her toy.

No worries! I'm just a better photographer than Colin is, *L* I actually got to hold Mr. Mac first and it was WONDERFUL... he seemed to know someone special had come :) Came right up to me, sat down at the edge of the ex-pen, tail wagging, and when I picked him up I got lots of puppy kisses and then he calmed right down and leaned into me until Daddy wanted a turn :)

How neat that some people already know Ginger! She's one spunky girl; such fun. Robin was very frustrated at Rio on Sunday...I couldn't tell you why like Robin can, but we both agree he's one BEAUTIFUL boy and he was just not cooperating in the show ring. Hope I can see him again sometime soon.

And Debbie, we cannot tell YOU how thrilled, excited, proud, ecstatic, delighted and happy WE are that you brought Mr. Mac to us! I hope hope hope that you somehow won't be on puppy duty when we go to pick up Mac in Richmond on the 23rd so that we can properly thank you in person. Either way, we'll hopefully be able to give you a nice token of our gratitude at some point.

The sweet closeup picture of his face got a prime spot on my computer desktop at school this morning, and the kids also went NUTS for him! Second period math took almost ten full minutes to get over the fact that he was coming home a little too late to join us for field day (not that the idea would really fly with my principal anyway!!) ;)

If you ask me, he takes after his "daddy..." Colin's good at making trouble....

I'm happy for you, Mac is ADORABLE. Beautiful markings, and that face....he is truely precious. Thanks for posting the YouTube video, it was funny and so cute. Sounds like you had a great time visiting Mac and going to the dog show. I just love puppies. Cardigans always look like characters to me...I bet Mac is chock full of personality plus.

Congrats to you and before you know it, Mac will be home forever!
