Sadie had her first experience with the Thunder Shirt today, and I'd definitely classify it a success! I used the suggested introduction method of putting it on the ground with several of her favorite treats on it like a placemat. She gobbled up every one and then licked the shirt (pieces of lamb jerky). She was very tolerant of my putting it on her and them immediately stood calmly by my side.

Our landscapers are here this morning in full force reworking the front beds which the dogs can see from the living room. I took Sadie up to the windows, which would normally result in a full-throated fierce barking from Miss Sadie. Instead, I got a woof or two, and then a corgi sitting at my feet!!

I only left it on her about 10 minutes for this first try. When I took it off she just walked away - no frantic frapping through the house which I took as a good sign.

I'll keep trying it in different situations. I can't wait to try a car ride, but I want to be sure she's comfortable with it first.

Here she is in her full body armor!

Cool! Glad to hear it's working. Wonder if I should try one for Link. We had some good thunderstorms this morning, he tried jumping up onto me as I sat at my desk. He's really turned into such a baby. Then I scattered some kibble on the kitchen floor for him to clean up and he forgot all about the storm. Food is a miracle cure sometimes.

Wow! Very cool! It will be interesting to see how long the effects last - hopefully they will.

I think that as Corgis are fairly smart, that if they feel comforted wearing it, that even if technically that effect doesn't last, they will associate it with feeling calm and relax when wearing it.

I tried the anti-anxiety natural drops on Rupert during a thunderstorm when he was really freaked by it. He was calm as can be. I only used them the one time, but because he was able to be calm during the storm, he doesn't feel threatened anymore and he is so much better with thunder now.

Good luck and keep us posted. +TUP+

So happy to hear Sadie is having pawsitive experiences with the Thundershirt.

What size did you end up getting for her? I noticed it covers more of Sadie's length than the one I have for Cooper.

I got her the medium, but Sadie is fairly petite. She used to be very petite, but her girth seems to have increased just a bit with a couple of birthdays! :ROLLEYES

Personally, I can't imagine how that happened!

Thanks. Cooper is exta long. I have the medium for him, too.

My husband came home last evening after a 4 day golf outing and remarked that Cooper looked a bit "thicker" How could that be!

Must be the extra fluff post bath?? The cheese rewarding? Oh dear. :ARG:

Sadie, in the flying squirrel position, is proof of the comfort of the shirt. Great!
