The Cabana Corgis

It has been so warm and sunny here that I thought Dylan would like a swim in the spa, and he did. Then I set up an x-pen and beach umbrella to give him some shade while he dried off.

He was very happy with his new cabana, until his sister joined him, then he wasn't as smilie any more. After an hour or so it was time to get out the brushes and combs, so I crawled into the shade of the cabana too and gave my boy a stying.

Miss Montrose though I was very silly to be in there with them.:LAUGH:

Yeah, my husband takes those of me and uses them for threats!!! But I got him good once, he was in the shower and I pushed his cell phone around the curtain and took a photo, then sent the nude shot of him to his partner. :WINK:

Barbara, so I do have a use for the beach umbrella in the mountains! Now to find it and dust it off. This is a great idea as I can do it on our deck.

It was pretty easy to make, just take one x-pen & one post-broken-off beach umbrella.:WINK:

I did luck out as both items had sections that were exactly 24" apart, but I'm sure that it would also work if they didn't exactly match.

I stuck each of the spokes into the sides of the x-pen to keep the wind from lifting it off.

So quick and easy to set up and take down, I'll be using the Corgi Cabana on picnics, camping etc.

I know that you can buy top covers for x-pens, but this was put together with what we had around the house. I also hung a large towel on the side of the pen to make a shade wall as the sun moved.

That is a neat set up for your two - it does look like the umbrella was made for that and it is great that you could make use of a broken one rather than having to buy a cover. All you need is a cool drink with pineapples and a cherry in it - but I don't think you could fit a lounge chair in there for you :BIGGRIN" or could you?
