I HAVE to copy and paste the contents of an e-mail I got from Debbie today! We are ROLLING on the floor laughing, but also a little sad because we obviously missed seeing this in person!
Friday afternoon...Mac, BJ, GG & Cabbie were in the puppy pen providing extra entertainment. Now we have been very dry - no rain for ages, so there's this nice dust bowl effect going on. I glanced over and there was Mac with his front feet in the water bowl. Well, that not sooo unusual, but then he started "digging" in it, but it looked more like he was paddling and trying to swim in it, a twist on regular just digging and splashing. His next trick in the water bowl was to stick his nose just under the water and use it to throw water out. The piece de la resistance however was, Mac sticking his whole head under water, bringing it up and with water splashing off and shaking his head with the water splashing off his ears showering everyone. For his finale, he stood with all four feet in the water bowl. We were rolling with laughter. Robin's been wondering why there was a mud layer in the bottom of the bowl and she was having to change it so often. Now she has her answer, Mac is practicing water sports. :D
Of course at first she didn't have her camera out at first and then when she got it, he moved before she could catch him in the act(s). She did get some of the after effects - mud puppy Mac. <LOL>
So IF you come home to find "pools" of water, his housetraining may be going better than you think; he's just been playing in the water again. You might even find little tiny sail boats he's been floating in the puddles. ;)
Time to go buy a SMALLER water bowl! (Good thing we're keeping it in the kitchen...with a mat underneath....that has little "walls" around the edges...)
