This is a recipe that I'm going to try this week.

I will let you know if Montrose & Dylan like them, or turn up their nose at them. Ya right!

Peanut Butter Biscuits

1 cup peanut butter (unsweetened natural)
1 cup skim milk (or 2%, or use water if your dog is lactose intolerant)
2 cups wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder

Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

Mix together peanut butter and milk until smooth.
Mix baking powder and flour together, then gradually add to the peanut butter mixture.

Knead until dough is smooth.
Roll out to 1/4" think and cut with cookie cutters.
Place on GREASED cookie sheet (or parchment paper, no grease) and bake for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Baked exactly as the recipe directs, the biscuits are soft. If rolled out thinner and baked a bit longer and they come out crunchy.

I haven't made them yet David.

Still a few of the cheese ones left in the freezer. But mostly because Dyl Bob had an upset tummy for a couple of days and was on chicken & rice. Only fruit & Veg for treats. Bananas were on sale too, so I dehydrated a lot of those as well.

And Miss Mont has to watch her weight.

I will be making them soon though and will let you know.

(Guess I answered your question. I'm yakking because I'm on another 5 min break from gardening, have left Gary out front trimming around all the front planting beds.::WINK: )

I found out the hard way that Jemma seems to have an allergy or at the least a serious aversion to anything with peanuts in it. Very unpleasant consequences to the eating of them - and never when I'm home. Let's put it this way, she's tried to redecorate my apartment in brown a few times! Yuck and eeewww!!!!

I finally baked a batch this afternoon.

After kneeding the dough for a minute I decided to make them look like traditional PB cookies instead of using the dog bone cookie cutter.

Then I rolling them into about 3/4" balls, & pressed them with a fork dipped on flour. The baking time I changed to 15 minutes, they turned out soft and that allowed me to break a cookie into small bits for the dogs. Instead of them eating the cookie whole.

And surprise!! Montrose & Dylan like them.
