Sadie is still shedding great piles of hair...are we SURE this is normal?? How long can I expect this serious shedding to go on? She has lost her entire undercoat and looks really thin without it. I think that this heavy shedding and coat blowing has been going on for 2-3 weeks maybe...what is considered usual?
Thanks,
Leslie

I'm sure, yes it is normal. Just have to  and bear/brush(?) it.

Am I remembering correctly that Sadie is your first Corgi? Think of them as having as much fur blowing as a German Shepherd, and then add in all the after-preggo hair loss (I know I myself lost about 3 human heads worth after my babies), and there you go. Just think - next year you'll only have a German Shepherds worth to look forward to!

She's my first, and responsible for my first seven! :TWITCHY:
The truth of the matter is...I've never had a shedding breed before. I've had a basset hound, who shed some but not this prolifically, and several spaniels who don't shed at all but who require enormous efforts in grooming. So far, I'll take the shedding any day - even the mega-shedding that we're getting this year!

Yes, you said it right - they are certainly worth all the shedding, and much more! You'll get used to it! Mine both love to be brushed, and I love brushing them. It gets a lot of the hair before it gets all over everything else. You'll still need a bunch of lint brushes and brooms and vacuums and anything else to pick up fur though!

IF Sadie does go bald let me know and I'll send you a bag of Emma hair to make into a weave till she's back to her pre-preggers self :CUTE:
We still have plenty to spair!

Yes, it's normal. When a female has puppies by the time she's weaned them she's all but bald. They normally look pretty ratty about the time puppies are 8 weeks old.
Yes, normal, usual, expected.

One of the downsides to breeding. The good thing is it will grow back.
