OK, so yesterday I found out I'm not crazy, but I don't understand. A while back we thought the girls needed to lose a pound or 2.They were both around 30 lbs, Aine a little heavier than Maeve. We decreased both of their portions to 1/3 cup of kibble 2x a day with green beans and a spoon of yogurt (or pumpkin the past week.) I thought Maeve looked good, but Aine was still on the chunky side. We went to Petsmart yesterday and put them both on the scale. Maeve wes great @ 28.4 but Aine was 32! We even switched to a lower fat recipe a few weeks back. I don't understand ans they eat and exercise about the same. She goes to the vet next week, so I will talk to her to see if something could be wrong, or if she just inherited my genes somehow!"NO:":

Oh dear - I'd definitely ask the vet what she/he thinks - could be thyroid I guess. Let's hope it's nothing and she just has a slower metabolism.

Time to put a lock on the 'fridge! Don't use a combination lock though, Corgis can hear the tumblers click and pick 'em. +POLICEMAN+

Poor girl, she's just big-boned! Seriously, hope that Aine gets a clean bill of health from the vet.

Maybe she's just put on some extra muscle from all that exercise???

Hope there isn't anything out of whack. Vibes.

Do they have access to bunny poo in the yard?

Last spring I thought Tucker needed to drop a pound or two, I switched to green beans and kibble, and he didn't lose any weight. That always does the trick for him.

He goes out after breakfast and scours the yard for bunny poo. I swear that was what was keeping the weight on. He was snacking every day and sometimes 2 times a day.

You know, I think Jax does that too. I've had them cut back on his kibble, replacing with green beans, but I still see him out under the trees hoovering for more snacks. :NAH:

Absolutely to the bunnie poo high calorie as Chester can't lose while snackin. I just spotted deer M&Ms in the back yard, so Chester isn't allowed to try those. We know from Pepper what treats they can be.

I swear weight gain is a viscous cycle. They put on more weight so they don't walk as far so their metabolism drops, or is it not like humans?
