Yesterday we were taking our morning walk when a police car pulled up beside us. I thought the guy was going to check us for a dog license since the animal control van had just gone by. Instead the cop said "Oh my, a little cardigan. I always wanted one of those". So I walked Link over to him (he was being especially well behaved, NOT barking) and they said hello to each other. We chatted a bit and then the cop went on his way. The people in the cars waiting behind the police car didn't look too happy, I swear one smirked at me as he went by, but hey, it wasn't my fault!:TWITCHY:

That is neat that the Cop knew the breed, I don't run into that very often. Didn't Cheetah have the Cop do the same thing not to long ago.

a few years ago, a carpet guy came to our home to repair a section of carpet and when he saw my Betsy(my last pem) he was thrilled. He said he had always wanted a Corgi from the time he was a small boy. My Betsy was a gentle soul and she laid close by him while he did his work; he didn't mind a bit:SMILE:

That's cool that the cop knew exactly what kind of Corgi link was...a lot of people don't even know that there are two different types.

As far as people coming over: when the cable guy came a couple of Saturdays ago, the dogs were all over him...he said he really liked them a lot because most dogs are not that sweet to him. :SPINNY:

LOL, I've mentioned on here before that my husband has told me that he has chased down Corgis a number of times, holding up traffic, people, etc... he didn't care, he goes crazy at a Corgi sighting. And the human owners are always stunned that a man in uniform chased them down to pet their dog, he even pulled a car at Christmas last year, I bet they were worrying about something else  )

Not the same thing as he didn't even see Duchess but as I was standing on the side lawn in my bathrobe at three o'clock in the morning, a Salisbury Mass. policeman notice me and stopped to ask if everything was okay. We are on the far side of town, The policeman did not know Duchess's schedule.

We are on the far side of town, The policeman did not know Duchess's schedule.Thank you for the warning. The Sheriff deputy stopped and asked my husband at 3:30am how everything was and what is with the Christmas lights on our wood shed. My husband tried not to sound like the Sheriff was a moron and said "for light". It was the only way I could get lighting in the shed and he uses the lighting to light the car area. My husband explained he was going to work down in Palm Springs on working for an airline. So I can see it now, my husband will be dressed to go to work, and I'll be in my P.J.s with our puppy and the Sheriff will happen to drive by one rare morning and worry that I'm in trouble, not noticing the puppy! They will probably tell my husband to put his hands up and then come over to me asking if I'm okay. My reply is that I'll be okay if they will let my husband make it to work on time because he is an hourly employee. I have one of those headlights that will look so lovely with my p.j.s. Ah, morning potty shift just might be entertaining!
