I found this short article interesting & informative. Especially in light of the fact that many of our corgis have had recent dental issues.

Yuk, thank goodness we weren't to the "swelling under the eye" stage! I'd like to add another sign: very bad breath. Dogs can have bad breath, especially if they like to eat poop. But when it suddenly gets worse and it's bad enough to knock you over, get to the vet and insist that they really look hard at each tooth.

One of my Labs had the swelling under the eye as her first and only obvious sign of a very infected tooth.

Thanks for posting, Barbara. I wouldn't have equated swelling under the eye with a tooth infection. Good info.

Not sure if this applies to dogs but my cat had a "look" of headache that was a sign of dental infection.
