Thanks for posting this, Linda. It was either this site or one similar to it that I used to understand all of the information on Trevor's last blood panel. I had the vet's office fax the results over to me, then I compared the numbers to the information listed. I had a few questions, so I called my vet back.

For a long time now, I have simply not "accepted" what an MD tells me is right or OK - I bombard the doctor with questions! No reason to treat my pet's healthcare any differently! :)

This is wonderful information -dealing with my little Gus boy with his auto immune disorder , until we get him totally figured out , he has been having montly blood tests.. his last one was great, so now we are down to getting one every three months unless we see any changes ( he is on a steriod, imuran - an immunosuppressant, and right now on an antibiotic to help his little mouth heal - he has a break out on his lower lip that has taken about 12 days to heal...

This info helps the lay person to have some idea of what they are looking at... thank you!
