When can puppies move from softened puppy food to dry kibble? Gus and the Girls are showing much less interest in their softened food, and really seem to like the few hard kibble bits that I've given them as treats in the past couple of days. Should I be moving them over to dry kibble?

Thanks once again!!!

I know that MissGambler had been eating puppy food(bagged kibble) for a couple of weeks prior to us getting her at nine weeks of age. The vet had to guess Mojo's age but didn't hesitate to putting her on puppy food(bagged kibble) and she had no problem eating it or digesting it, she was approx six weeks old. That dog has NEVER had an upset stomach(excuse me for a second while I knock on wood............. okay, i'm back)Miss Gambler is the one with the delicate constitution  This is just my experience with my two spoiled babies.

Depends on the puppies. They're reall too young yet to be eating only dry kibble, but one meal of dry kibble would be ok. In a few more weeks if that's what they want then it's ok.

Thanks Peggy. I've been adding a few dry kibble bits on top of their softened food - that seems to make the softened food more palatable.

I will definitely continue to soften the food for them for at least another week.
