Starting Merlin his own thread here so I can update with puppy pictures as I get them. Starting with a link to a video of him and his dog family. His siblings in the video are Guineverre (aka Ginny), she has the least amount of white markings on her head, Arthur who looks a lot like Merlin but is slightly darker in color and doesn't have the white ear, and Sir Lancelot who has the thinner blaze of the boys. Merlin is distinquised in four ways in the video.
1. He is the lightest color of all the pups.
2. He has the white streak on the back of his right ear.
3. In the video you can see he is the only one who's ears are starting to go up unassisted.
4. He tends to be the one farther away from the other puppies, off exploring and doing his own thing! :BIGGRIN"
That said, here's the link to the video: You Tube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8ENzhCyPuY)

And just for grins a few of my favorite puppy photos of him so far:

He's a little butterball! You're gonna have to walk with this one, Cheryl, to keep you both in shape!! No cheating on the treadmill. LOL

They're so adorable! I love seeing so many white-tipped tails wagging all over the place! I can't wait to hear more about Merlin...

That is the cutest, happiest thing I've ever seen! Are there treats embedded in those ice chunks that they're playing with or are they just fun because they're solid?

Merlin is such a cute little guy. I love the litter theme names.

I can almost smell the puppy breath!

Just finished watching the video. Merlin seems to be responsive to his name. My ooohs and aahhs tripped off a barking frenzy from Cooper as did the barking of the dogs in the video. lol.

As for when I am going, it will be soon, but I won't say exactly when for safety reasons. No worries though, as soon as I get back with him you guys will be the first to know!

That's so funny! Love the line-up - if you look behind them, you will see Prissie the cat's feet - she obviously is involved in all aspects of the pups' lives!

Very cute! Dolly's ears did that, went up one at a time, though at one point one was up and the other sticking straight out like an airplane. They never flopped, just rose slowly! My Merlin's were up by six weeks and stayed up. Dolly's took until about four months, very long for a Pem.

Now remember, if for any reason you cannot keep Merlin, he can come here!

He's HOME!!!

Pictures at Facebook. (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2105211&id=1110974839&l=bc8fbdd592)

The pictures should show up with that link even if you don't use facebook. Let me know if it does not work.

These are the pictures from yesterday in Sweden, picking him up and got some good shots of his mom Tina.

He did great on the trip home. Two train trips (where he was the star of the show!) and a plane ride that he was so tired he slept almost the entire time. *whew* Finally a hour and a half drive home that put us in at 1:30am... after a few brief introductions for the dogs and a late snack because he was a hungry boy, we settled down for the evening. I was so tired and didn't want to disturb Luke in bed so I just set Merlin up in his crate next to the couch so he could see me and passed out on the couch at 3am. Hubby was up and got to play with him at 7am. Doggy intros have been done more thoroughly now and are going well (they are both out exploring as I write this... Merlin just came back in from a potty break).

As I was trying to write this the boys got to meet him and he did great with them both. He and Pepper are now sitting side-by-side in the floor chewing on their toys together. No worries.. I will have LOTS of new pictures by the end of today.... the bigger question will be if I am too tired to post them!

One of my favorite pictures from today. He has spent quite a bit of time passed out at my feet under my desk today. I can empathize. Keeping up with two little boys and a Dalmatian is hard work!

I believe he is slightly larger than average for his age.... and he's the SMALL boy of the litter!! I met Lancelot too and he is huge compared to Merlin, a full kg bigger if I recall correct. I was calling him Butterball!

Wow, what a wonderful selection of pictures of the boyz. Merlin is a real doll, and it is nice to see him interacting with Pepper and your children.

Many thanks for sharing all of the photos. It will be fun to watch Merlin grow up as part of your family.

Best wishes!

That's bigger than an eight-week old Labrador puppy!

The brindle color (do you call that a red brindle?) is starting to grow on me. I loved the picture of the brindle Pem posted on Corgi-L.

Merlincorgi

Pembrokes maybe, but for a Pem Checkers was on the larger side at about 34lbs (not overweight). From what I saw of his family Merlin will be about that same size.
