Well, it's still very cold and snowy here, so mine haven't had their spring bath yet. They are going for a professional spiff-up the day before Laura comes so she'll think they look good all the time. I can't bath them still because of my back.

These are from a couple of years ago.

Oh the suffering!

Jemma looks 1/2 her size all wet. I'm noticing some dark undercoat or skin when wet. The hair she sheds, what color is it? Reason why I ask, is even though Chester is black, the hair is gray that he sheds. Which reminds me I need to comb him and give the bluejays some softness for their nest they are busy building.

First, let me say I have no idea HOW you guys get photos of your dogs wet in the tub. If I tried that mine would be jumping out or at least with paws on the edge of the tub and dripping all over the floor.

My tris have grey undercoats too. It's pretty common. Some reds will have a grayish cast to the undercoat too. Not sure why, could be they carry the tri gene.

Link needs a bath too. I was petting him tonight and found dirt caked around his nipples.

Of course that led into the discussion of why do males even have nipples. My answer was so dirt can cake around them to make mom feel like she's not keeping the dog clean enough.

Adding Cooper to the list of those needing a bath. Not getting one yet as beach walking or tearing through our soggy yard in PA just makes him a mud dog all over again.

Had to chuckle at the male and nipples. Yeh, why? I have the vet check some of them everytime we go in because he gets crusties on some and I think there is something wrong. Not like he is every going to use them, so why don't they just disappear!

Cooper here: Why would you want the stinky stuff bathed off?

You know there is an art to rolling it on, don't you:SHOCKED:

We love the stinky stuff aroma and are quite proud of ourselves when we are wearing it.

No bath photos of me. Takes an octopus to give me a bath. No arms left to handle the camera.

Abby - you always look so cute. Your cute and demure side under the towel.

Murphey here: Coop! I so agree with you, it wasn't my idea of a good time to get it cleaned off. I wanted the stinky stuff on, it's like my cologne. But mom says 'No way! it has to come off' or I can't sit in her lap. And I really like sitting in her lap. :BIGGRIN"

I can just roll in it again another day. It keeps a good challenge, sometimes I can do it and mom not notice for a while.

This is the closest thing I have to the boy's being bathed, I usually wash them both at the same time so no extra hands for me either hehe.

The things we endure for our humans, Murphey. It's like that around here, too.
I caught royal "H" today for scarfing down a bird carcass I found on the beach.
Geez, a starving corgi has gotta eat. I saw it before my Dad did. No good stuff to roll in today but I am always on the look out for that, too.
