I feel certain that there is absolutely no relationship, but I just have to ask anyway...is there any correlation between coat color and assertiveness? In Sadie's litter, the three tri's are by far the most assertive and domineering, and the three reds (two I think will be red and white, and Gus seems to be sable just like his mama) are very laid back and calm.
Just curious!

No, I've had softer temperments and shaper ones of all colors. Just depends on the dog.

I was certain that was the answer...but I just had to ask!
Thanks again Peggy!
Again just curious - how many puppies have you had over your breeding career? And how did you get into corgi breeding?

Oh, geez, I've never counted. My first litter was born in 1981 and my last one was in 2003. I've probably rasied over a dozen litters. I have it all written down but that's my guess off the top of my head.
I got into breeding after we started showing. Showing came first. Our first corgis came from one of the top show kennels in the country. This breeder became my mentor and guided me in the first years.

Deb - Here are a few from last weekend! In the first, Glory is expressing her displeasure with being evicted from the Puppy Palace while it is being cleaned. The Princess much prefers the Palace to the holding pen!
In the second, everyone is back in the sparkling Palace, exhausted from the hard work of supervising the daily scrub-down. +WUBCLUB+

Oh, I think I would like Glory please, I'll send you a cheque and you can put her on a bus! She looks like such a character!!!
Thanks Leslie, I feel like we have all been part of an international group of step-parents watching them grow and helping you with questions. I think we are all going to have a hard time when they go to their forever homes too!!!!

I think I'll just drive up to Fort Worth and get them all! It's only about a 7-8 hour drive from here! The Z's and the G's! Can I have your address please?

Patricia,
I think you have an unfair advantage with your truck driving past! You must give the rest of us a few hours head start LOL :BIGGRIN"
Know I've said it b4 but oh it would be hard to let all of them go!

Unfortunately (or fortunately-depending on how you look at it!) I have stopped driving for health reasons. So I would be on equal footing with everyone else! LOL I agree - it would be hard to let them go. I had that problem with my cocker puppies - YEARS ago!

Uh-oh Deb! We may have to rock/paper/scissors for her. She is just too cute, and you know I love a corgi with spunk!
Thanks for the pics Leslie. Keep 'em coming. I am already dreading the day when they have to go to their forever homes.
