I read somewhere that Cardis are 'clowns' and Pems are more outgoing. I know this is a generalisation but what has been your experience re having Cardis and Pems?
What's the difference that you have spotted between their temperaments?
I have been trying to figure out how clownish Cardis can be....Havent met many of them in Singapore..
Thanks.

I really don't see a whole lot of difference between the Cardi and Pem in my two. They are two peas in a pod, moneky see, monkey do. They spend a lot of time together, are rarely apart.
There are personality differences between the two but I believe it is more male/female difference than cardi/pem differences.

I think it's too early for me to really tell... Millie is naturally aloof. Link is a crazy puppy. But I do know that Link at this age is much more laid back than Millie was at this age, although Millie came from a very questionable background where Link had a very nice breeder. And of course we have the male/female thing too.
I am so in love with the look of a Cardigan, and having a tail to "read" is fun too. But really, I think in having both we have the best of both worlds.

They really are two different breeds. The Cardi as a rule is a bit more reserved around strangers. The Pem more out going. The cardi is more of a one family/one person dog and while the Pem is loyal they love and want to meet everyone.
Of course there are exceptions to every rule. My current cardigan is also more outgoing than most and likes to meet people. She's not as enthuastic as the Pems though.

Glencorgi has a phrase that I heard (read) her use about Cardis, and Pems with scissors, would you post it again Debbie, I thought it was spot on.
Anyone remember it?
