What a day for the corgis!
Benny and his ma (Zephyr 9779), Dexter (boarding with them because his parents went on holiday), Barnabas and I went to Pegamart this morning.
Pegamart has this big doggy pool outside their store and the three boys did some swimming. Dexter surprised us when he decided to jump into the pool without his jacket at one point....(we had removed his jacket thinking he had enough of the pool...). He swam very well- steady and fast! For a dog who wasnt too excited about swimming- it was quite an improvement from the first time his ma and I brought him to the pool a month or so ago. I was impressed.
Barn got on well with Dexter but did his Darth Vader impersonation when he encountered Benny. Benny kept clear of Barn (wise!), did a bit of swimming (I will let his ma tell you how he fared) and enjoyed the iced doggy treats....He had a great time making friends with a Golden Retriever who was there at the pool.
We had lunch after sending Barnabas back home. Then Benny and Dexter went to the groomer to get their nails clipped. I picked up Trax (my 13 year old boy) and brought him to the groomer as well. While waiting for the groomer- the two young boys (Benny and Dexter ) played with the two GRs there and with each other non stop. I think Dexter never had so much fun in his life! Not sure if he wants to go home when his parents return...Ha.
Trax just watched the fun. And scolded everyone when he thought it was getting too rowdy.
Groomer Jennifer arrived. Dexter submitted to getting his nails clipped. It was a pleasant experience for him. Benny was a bit more apprehensive. But he did well- Benny's ma will probably share about the experience. Trax enjoyed the fuss he was getting. A trim, a shower, nail clipped, ears cleaned.
