Please read Day One, posted in this forum as well.
Saturday: After taking care of the puppers morning needs Gary & I headed for the motel lobby for our free (well, included in the room price) conntinental breakfast, and on the road to Bobbie's house just a short 15 minutes drive.
The gathering started out at Bobbie's Mum's house a few steps away where we crossed over the large pieces of driftwood that had been washed ashore during the winter. Once we were all on the hard packed sand it was fairly easy pushing for the two of us with corgis in pet strollers. As you can see from the pictures all the dogs had a wonderful time!
Running, barking, chasing each other, in and out of the water and in genral just being the happy dogs that they are. We came along a few non corigi puppers and their owners to join in with us.
A rough head count was about 14, and about the same number of owners. After a good walk out to the waters edge, and a good hike back we all settled in for a picnic lunch in the yard. The dogs were treated to a tunnel and weave poles to play in while the humans had a chance to rest and chat.
We traded corgi adventure stories, marvelled at the fabulous companions we all had and how clever they are all, and one member of our group was lucky enough to have Bobbie help her set up a Corgi Aid cart for her right on the spot.
Thank you again Bobbie, Montrose, Dylan, Gary & I look forward to your next Beach Walk.
And how nice that we met new friends and they are joining us here!
I pared down my pictures from 60 to 13.

The beach was beautiful. I love the photos, especially the ones of Montrose enjoying the event, and she does look so happy and healthy, and the photos of them eating ice-cream, and waiting to do so while you take the photos, is priceless. I have two who I know that would have left no ice-cream in the cups before I finished taking the photos!

With jackets on everyone it must have been quite cool. Hard to believe since it's been 90 (+ or -) a few degrees here for weeks with no let up. I'm glad everyone has been having a great time and I'm sure those two cups of Dairy Queen goodies makes the tummy happy!! Glad to see Monty along for the trip.

Looks like you had a wonderful time! I really miss being out there. Seattle area is my favorite area on earth! That includes anything from Leavenworth, WA - west!

I loved the photos and the details of the weekend, how fun! I love seeing all the dogs running off leash having a wonderful time. The photo you posted on the other thread of monty and jack snuggling was just adorable . Such fun, thank you for sharing with all of us, so glad you had such a good time.

Wonderful pictures, Barbara! And the ice cream picture brought back memories. Where I grew up (near Pittsburgh, PA) the local Dairy Queen also gave free "baby cones" to your dog. That was a summer tradition, taking our dog with us to the Dairy Queen to get his "conie" in a cup! :CUTE:

Debi, I'm going to find out if our local DQs offer this much appreciated canine treat!
If not, we will share ours with the dogs as we always have.:BIGGRIN"

Yet another reason for them to get excited about going for a ride in the car!

Exactly!
Both Monty & Dylan are now able to spell V-A-N. We have to say things like ...the biege thing with the round things.....Monty knows the word Wheels, because of hers.

too funny barbara! At our house we cannot use the word Kitty, or cat, or meow or the names of either of our two cats, or Dillon jumps around and barks like crazy and starts trying to find the kitties... so we say feline right now. Also the word "ride" or "out" or ' cookie" or "hungry" or "dinner" those get the dogs all excited, so i have to be careful how i say things...

Isn't it amazing how smart our dogs are? Imagine having to spell words or find alternate words because they pick up on the ones we use sooo fast! Delilah hasn't shown any propensity for any particular word yet (except toys) but the chihuahuas and lab all know the "cookie" (I'm afraid to even type it! LOL) and "go byebye", "go potty" and "go out" words REAL well!

Barbara,
Thanks for posting those photos, they are great, I especially like the one of Dylan introducing Montrose to the warmariner - looks like it was a fun time for all of you and the picture of Montrose with her "new boyfriend", Jack is so cute.

If anyone who missed it wants to visit, we'd love to have a special corgi beach walk just for you! (And our five corgis...)

Looks like it was a great weekend, Barbara! I love the two waiting patiently for their ice cream...then indulging!
I think it's great that Montrose has her wheels and is able to go out and join the fun. She has great parents, obviously. :BIGGRIN"
