Danny & I entered our First agility trial Saturday.
No Q. He missed a jump, my fault that I did not do a do over, but we had fun!! And I learned so much. And met a lot of very nice people too.
We've had a no Q weekend, but we've had a lot of fun!:)

We have a Fun Match Oct 16th, next AAC trial is Nov 27.
Danny was measured by the judge. He is jumping 10" Specials. Measured justt a wee bit over 12" So he is in the 12" to 16 " category. As you know, he is not a wee corgi.
He needs a second measurement done. Then, after he turns 5 July 10 2012 he can do a double drop she said, and jump at 6". I didn't know that, and have really been worrying about the 10". He does it fine, but since Dyl blew is ACL at 7, and Dan is way heavier...for now...I am concerned.
So, if it's not too cold in Nov, as long as he has two marked on his card by July we are ok for the double drop.

Danny had much more fun at our class yesterday. (we do privates) Many times running courses than just the one run on Saturday.
We were the 3rd run Sat am, and stayed the full day. Poor Danny kept looking at me every time I took him out of his kennel wanting to know why I wouldn't let him run and play like all the other dogs.
Dylan was kenneled right beside him for the day as it was too lot for him to be in the van. And poor old Dyl Bob, he can't even stand on all fours alone now, and he was whining to run. It has been many years since he was on agility equipment. And he loved it too.

Dylbob needs his on paraagility equipment! Tell Gary to build him a teeter. It was easy and fun for the dogs to use. Can't wait to teach it to Oliver but it is back in Fresno.http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee256/Bobbie54_2007/paraMerlinteeter2.jpg

But Dylan is young in heart.

Merlin was younger, too, but not by much.

I think that Dylan's arthritis is a big part of his sometimes lack of movement. All this awful rain does not help.
Bobbie, I have an umbrella from the corgi cabana set up in the potty area, but the high winds keep blowing it over.+SAD+
Dylan HATES the rain. Did his potty at 7am, but refused at noon. Both of us came back in soaked! We will go out at 5pm again, early dinner as Danny has an Ob class at 6:30 in Abbotsford.

I used a canopy but our back yard was more protected, and by winter here I was expressing him so just did it inside once the weather was miserable. No canopy would last here.

I took it down after breakfast as the high winds were really bad, I should have put it back for their lunch time potty. I will this time. But again will close it up when we leave.
I HATE rain too. Always have, even when I was a little girl. And here is where I live now.:ROLLEYES
