We have three amazing corgis at CRENY. Ricky is already with us. He is a 4 y/o great little boy. His young family did not understand corgi traits and his big issue was that he herded the kids!! They became fearful of his running and 'growling' and poking at the heals of the kids when they ran through the house. Oh boy!!! +WUBCLUB+ He is a real love of a boy.

Nike and Boomer are coming back to us. The family felt they could not manage 2 dogs and are surprised that they don't respond to the wireless fence! I told them that prior to adoption and at the hand over. I think the boys should go to their own forever homes.

They are on our web site www.corgirescueeny.com Check the happy trails pages for Boomer and Nike if they are not on the adoption page. It will be by 10/8.

So sad to see this. People need to research any breed before committing to adoption. We researched both pembroke and cardigan before getting Bella. Even went to a dog show 3 years before we got her to talk to breeders. We love seeing all the traits in her we read about before getting her.

I was in Pet Smart yesterday and they had a full house of cats waiting for adoption. One poor cat was hissing and growling and they had a sheet telling about him. He was traumatized after living in a home for 10 years and being given up for adoption. I so wished I could help him but he needed to be an only pet and our house definitely does not qualify for that. We live in such a throwaway society when we get tired of something, throw it out and find something new. I hate this for all of these poor animals who don't understand that about life.

Off my soapbox now....:ARG:

You said it very well.

And it should be harder for people to buy a dog, except for those of us here of course.

I too hope that these animals each find their forever homes very soon.

Phew!!!! their owner has finally put up the dog pen in their yard. Why it has been down is beyond me! They will have another chance at the happy life together. Everyone keep your fingers and corgi paws crossed.
