Ada was spayed a couple weeks ago, and her weight at the vet's office (a.k.a. my future dad-in-law... mwahaha free vet care!) was only 18lbs.

Ada is 8 months old, she's always been petite. Her dam was "normal sized", we were told that her sire was on the small side (he was out on a farm, working stock when we visited the breeder - so we never saw him), so... um...

... is 18lbs for an 8 month old PWC bitch... normal? Undersized? Just right?

Honestly, I'm used to seeing much larger corgis. Heck, the males in the crates next to us at the last show were easily 30lbs!

Dale weighed about 16 lbs when he was neutered last month at 6 months old. He is smaller then Chip but he is eating alot to try and catch up.:BIGGRIN"

She sounds about right to me. Riley and Jemma, the two girls I've had, went through a very long period where they were built like torpedos. Long and slim, looked like those slinky dog toys! Jemma is now 17 months and 24 pounds and is filling in nicely now. Ada, may end up being a smaller female, but don't compare her to the boy, females tend to be a little smaller anyways.

Midget or not, I don't know. But I do know she has the prettiest markings I've about ever seen!

Link's newest nickname is "Slinky Linky", he looks like a snake slithering around. He's a cardi, and they are usually a bit bigger than pems. He's 20lbs at 20 weeks now and will probably be a big boy. I don't remember Millie (pem) ever looking slinky like this.

Aww thank you! I love her markings too, they actually helped me pick her out - there were two girls left, and Ada's sister wasn't as flashy.

This is her sister - I didn't like her markings as much, and I wanted a friendlier expression... this girlie was sweet, but her face was too "haughty" and "stuck up" for me... I already have a primadonna in my house, I didn't need another one!

Fiance just wanted a red and white corgi bitch... those were his only requirements. I was a bit more picky. I wanted an outgoing, yet biddable girl from a stockdog breeding. As fas as markings, I wanted a middle red with a defined fairy-saddle, clearly marked, full white stockings (preferably symmetrical), a white bib, a partial white collar, a white muzzle with a blaze... and that's what I got! I'm really hoping her pencil-thin blaze won't disappear with age...

That doesn't sound unusual...Andy was only 18 pounds at a year! Now, pushing 2, she's only 22.5.
She's just small - but by no means underweight or anything. Ada is probably just little by nature.

Sadie is extremely petite - small frame and 23-24 lbs (that's pre and post puppy!). She'll be two on Aug. 31 and will be spade next month. I'm guessing that she will fill out a bit then, but she's much more delicate looking than many of the corgis we see around here.

I think there's quite a variety! The daddy of her puppies, appropriately named Bear, is huge!!

Tucker is small for a male Pem. he weighs in at just under 24 lbs. Lulu may also be small for a Cardi female. She is 13 months and weighs just over 24 lbs.
