We have a 3' one inside around the woodstove. One would think to protect Chester from the hot stove, no, I think it is now to protect our fire wood and kindling from the beaver Chester!
Outside the 4' one as our prior corgi who was shorter in length than Chester got over the 3' one when young. Never under estimate the smartness of a corgi! I'm so glad this thread was started because Chester always had a dark urine - well when there is snow I can see how dark it is.

We took Gizmo's urine today and he said there's some crystallization, and the pH is kinda high. We got some clavamox for it.

I hope Gizmo's crystals clear up quickly. We had that off and on with our mixed breed Fester. Clavamox always worked well.

I hope Gizmo feels better quick. The clavamoxx is what i give Gus when he gets UTI's ( it has been one year in January since he has had a UTI ( this is a big deal as he had 4+ in the first two years i had him) . Ever since i started giving cranberry capsules last january and making sure he drinks more during the day ( i give him the acai/blueberry juice mixed with water- 1:5 ratio once a day) he has not had another UTI!
I hope that Bizmark's urinalysis results come back fine... hopefully it is just how he is.

There sure seems to be a lot of doggy UTIs lately, kind of like the spurt of gals limping we had recently. |

I think those cranberry tablets sound like a good idea! I need to check those out next time I'm at the pet store.
The vet left a message this morning, letting us know Bismarck is negative for any infections, but he does have some crystals in his urine. She suggested we increase his wet food intake and make sure he always has plenty of water to drink (which he does ). Things are up and down a lot. Bismarck and Otis got into a scary tussle yesterday that included Bismarck clamping down on the back of Otis's neck and Otis running, dragging Bismarck. We were able to separate them and there was no blood. They were fine the rest of the day. Luna Mae on the other hand has been getting very snarly, hoarding the treats. She has one, and then takes them away from the other two. At times she doesn't even make a peep, but Bismarck won't enter the same room unless I escort him in. Does this sound normal? Foreboding?
